I don´t know, but my mother always teased me as a kid that I was adopted, seems I didn´t fit the bill, and actually she still tells me that I´m adopted at my age……. evil woman

For a mom….. you said as if in saying he or she will always be her “kid” she through me out at at age 18, mean woman…but you know what, guess she still loves me if not she wouldn´t have done what she did for me and what she does for me now, but there is that line.
A good advice I remember from my father when I was really Young and still is in my head so go figure, he did say
“at the end of the day you are alone” basically telling me to be my own man, he´s a tough guy so, but yes mam, mommy even if she kicks me out she will eventually call me just to say hi or going out for a cup of coffe or something, she won´t admit it to me, but even with all my screwups and good things I should add, but with my screw ups, she does love this “kid”, go figure that one out

Ha, that is something my kids love to tease each other too with… lol! My parents basically wanted only 2 children but then they decided for a third one. I remember my two sisters teasing each other when the older said: “You know, they actually did not want you.” My youngest sister said: “No, they did not want you..!” 😜

It’s a sibling thing!!!!!! I love my brother to bits, and at 40, and him being 37, we are more accepting… that, and we live in different countries!
