Today was wonderful and I can’t believe it’s already over 😥
I am most proud and extremely thankful to those of you that voted…
I got second place in my Category Best Overall Blog Award!
There were some huge blogs I was up against so I was so amazed!
Still speechless… (well as gobsmacked as a chatterbox like me can!)
Still, I phoned my Hubby Dearest to let him know the good news and he was so happy for me, and my Lil Man and Lil Princess were jumping up and down, because “You know mummy, second the best!” followed by “Did you get anything??!!”
I said I got lots of claps and cheers, and a tee-shirt!
And I was lucky enough to also win a bracelet from Barb Taub!
I regret that I took hardly any photos but there are a few of my core blogily Erika, Judy and Rich, who I met for the first time in person!
And of the organisers, Sacha, Geoffles, Hugh and Ali!
A wonderful masterclass too by Luca Sartoni, a Growthketeer at Automattic, who gave us some great tips on connecting social media to our blogs, and some interesting info regarding reblogs, and PressThis!
We ended up having to leave a little early, but the time we spent was worth it, every second!
My only regret… not being able to sing “We Are Blogily”!
Sacha/Geoffles/Hugh/Ali – I didn’t get to write in the guest-book, but next time can we have karaoke too??!! 😉
Meeting some brilliant bloggers, and writers, and putting voices and faces to names… I can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Love this! Many congratulations for your second placing Ritu, that is an amazing accomplishment for a fantastic award! I wish we could have had more chance to talk, but I can tell we’re on the same wavelength as I asked for music and dancing lol 😀 Karaoke too…even better! It was a pleasure to finally meet you yesterday, Ritu. First of all, thank you so much for my box of Maltesers. They are still sat here on my desk, unopened. There’s a good reason for that and it will all be revealed soon.
Many congratulations on your Second placing for The Best Overall Blog. Very well deserved and you should be very proud of all that you have achieved on here in building up not just a fantastic blog, but a great blogging community as well.
My only regret is that I did not have more time to speak with you all. As you saw I was on video duty, but I still seem to have almost lost my voice, today, because of all the talking I did get to do.
Did anyone mention Welsh Chocolate? Yes, me! It’s arriving tomorrow and I have a bar with your name on it, so I’ll be in touch soon with details of how to get it to you.
And next year (when I have that microphone) I just may insist you start us all off with ‘We Are Blogilly’.

I feel like I’ve just got back from a 10-hour flight from the States and am very jet lagged, Ritu. Couldn’t sleep last night because I just kept thinking about the whole day and how great it was.
