TJ’s Household Haiku – Drift

TJ’s haiku prompt this week,

Drift

Another prompt where I realised I had a great photo! A couple of years ago we were playing at the park along the River Thames in our town. Lil Man had a new football to play with… but not for long! A hard, powerful kick sent the ball soaring into the water, and the current was pretty strong, carrying the ball away forever… drifting off into the sunset!

Unable to save
Little sphere floating away
Set adrift somewhere

What a superb photo and haiku! If you had not shared the back story I would have thought you were referring to the world. Beautiful stuff!

Yep… a perfect take for drift. Hope Lil Man calmed down soon.
