I can’t quite contain my excitement Peeps!
I know it’s not much, yet, and probably won’t amount to much, but we finally have snow!
We had a sprinkling a couple of years ago that melted within hours, and wasn;t sufficient for the kids to play with. The last time we had any snow of significance, was 6 years ago.
Today I drove home in a mini blizzard!
There is a couple of centimetres now…
The footprints of the kids covered up within 20 minutes of them stepping out in the crisp new snow! Oh boy, are they excited! Already deciding what they will do with this unexpected day off that they are thinking they will get!
Not sure how to break this to them that school will be on… It is not likely to snow all night. But more likely to ice over, and just be treacherous for us to drive in!
But I guess we can all dream of a snow day, and the hope that we get to stay at home for a bonus extra day!!!

Very nice, Ritu! I was hoping it would snow a little bit here but I think winter is already over. Lol. It’s been 70 degrees (21 c) here. It’s beautiful but a little bit of snow would’ve been fine.

We got snow last night as well Sis. I couldn’t believe how quickly it settled.It did look beautiful and I got a couple of great photos but today, as you thought, it has iced over 😦

There is nothing more beautiful and nothing more exciting and although I spent last winter in New England (extreme) and live in the mountains in France, I have not forgotten just how wonderful it is when it snows in Oxfordshire where I was raised. I wish you and your children hours of endless snow-fun! ❄️ ⛄️

Lucky you, Ritu. I have only seen snow in Johannesburg twice in my whole life although I have seen snow in the UK at Christmas time [lovely].

These pics are stunning. Your neighborhood looks so quaint. We are getting ice where I live. 3/4″ – the whole town is shutting down. Stores are out of water, eggs it’s crazy. Enjoy your winter wonderland.

We had snizzle when we parked up at the hospital this afternoon, but it hasn’t come to anything. However, with temperatures due to drop to minus 2 tonight, there will be a lot of black ice on the roads. Thankfully my appointment isn’t until late afternoon tomorrow.
