#SoCS June 24/17 – rain/rein/reign

Linda’s #SoCS prompt this week…

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “rain/rein/reign.” Use one, use them all, use them any way you’d like. Have fun!

When you are a teacher, you dread the rain.

Seriously.

Because when rain stops play(time) then chaos reigns supreme!

You see, kids really need to get that short time at break, and lunchtime, to get some fresh air, and to run around, burning a little of that energy.

When they end up on ‘wet play’, stuck in the classroom for a whole day, it is mayhem!

Not only do you not get that opportunity to clear up your classroom, and prepare for the next session, you don’t get the break away from those little darlings either.

Break and lunchtime are the times the teachers can unwind slightly, after what could possibly have been a trying lesson time, we can loosen the reins on our mouths, and let off steam to our colleagues, so we are all calm for the next session (well, almost!)

But when it is ‘wet play’, we don’t get a break, they don’t get a break, we just all end up reaching breaking point!

And there you have it, my Stream of Consciousness on this Saturday morning!

(And Linda, all words used! :P)

You are so right, Ritu. I can remember the chaos when it rained from my own school days as a learner.

Nicely done, Ritu. Linds didn’t mention bonus points, but you deserve a few, for using the words and dealing with the kids.
