Colleen has added a new twist to her poetry challenge as it has entered its second year!
No longer just a Haiku, Tanka or Haibun, but she has added Senryu and Cinquain to the list too!
I have never written them before so I thought I’d have a go!
Hope I make sense!
The prompt words are:
Mist & Shape
Cinquain
Morning
Misty figures
Shaping, forming, floating
Chilly weather sparking winter
DawningRitu 2017
Senryu
A mist of perfume
Setting over your form
A scent so sensualRitu 2017
I replaced shape with form in the Senryu…. Hope you enjoyed!

Loved them both but, the senryu, remember it’s about human follies, not the scent/perfume itself, As it is its a haiku, turn it into a senryu by changing the ‘a’ to ‘your’ so it reads, “Your scent so sensual”, With much respect,

I am giving the haiku challenges a break for a while Sis. I remember trying different types of poetry for NaPoWriMo and it was good to try new styles. Having said that, I nearly always choose just one or two styles for my usual poems!
