TJ’s Household Challenge – Flower and Simply

TJ’s prompt this week:

Flower & Simply

Focus your brain
Welcoming an idea
To simply flower

Ritu 2017

Or…

Focus your brain
Allowing an idea
To simply flower

Ritu 2017#

Two variations that Graeme suggested I showcase together, showing two focuses or focii!

Which one do you prefer?

I like the ‘allowing’ one, giving permission to the idea take over!

Two great takes. Changing one word and it gets a different (deep) meaning!

Both are so nice – but I like the first one a little better. Keep them coming!

And sometimes punctuation ‘focuses’ the reader upon what the writer means.

Having the poem read out loud is not always possible.

But, for multiple interpretations, a lack of punctuation is often of interest.

Hope I make some sense here – and am not just confusing things.

Can I suggest ‘allowing’ as an alternative to ‘welcoming’ – then you have 2 Haiku with slightly differing focuses (or is it ‘focii’?)
