And sometimes punctuation ‘focuses’ the reader upon what the writer means.
Having the poem read out loud is not always possible.
But, for multiple interpretations, a lack of punctuation is often of interest.
Hope I make some sense here – and am not just confusing things.

Can I suggest ‘allowing’ as an alternative to ‘welcoming’ – then you have 2 Haiku with slightly differing focuses (or is it ‘focii’?)

I actually wrote it as allowing…! but them when I was doing the line 1-2/2-3 sentence flows it sat better with me! Do you think I should change it?

Never change a thing unless you want to, Ritu. I just sometimes would have put a different word if I had written a poem that I am reading. I wouldn’t presume to tell, I just comment and try to be thoughtful in doing so.
I look at sense and flow
And then read out the poem aloud
If I am happy then all is good
I can still go back (at a distance of time) and revisit my poem
And sometimes I change it then (being older and wiser – ha!)

I like both – I wish I spent more time looking at my poetry, rather than just writing furiously (at a rate – I don’t do fury).
It’s good to look in depth sometimes at our constructed children. G:)
