The Answers

1. What’s your favourite thing about Christmas? Spending time with my family
2. What’s your favourite Christmas memory? Seeing my parents both get a little tipsy! And the looks on our children’s faces when they have received the gifts they requested = priceless!
3. Are there special traditions your family has for Christmas? As a Sikh family, Christmas is not something we celebrate for a religious reason, but as a community time of peace, love and happiness. We generally try and follow all the general traditions, but will spice our dinner up with some Indian tastes!
4. What’s your Christmas wish? (Can be personal or general) Honestly, it’s for Peace, Love and Happiness, both generally, and for my whole family!
5. What’s your favourite Christmas dish? Pigs in Blankets!!!
6. What’s your favourite Christmas decoration? Gotta love a paper chain! But there are some special handmade ornaments on my tree which were made by my children which are extra special, and they come out every year!
7. What’s your favourite Christmas song? Winter Wonderland, more or less any version!
8. Where do you usually celebrate Christmas? As a child and growing up with my parents, nowadays we spend the day with my in-laws
9. What does the ‘Christmas Spirit’ mean to you? Being giving and charitable, spreading joy to those near and dear to you.
10. Who out of anybody in the world would you want to spend your Christmas with? I would love for a Christmas with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew, dearly, but as they are in Finland, it hasn’t happened yet… wouldn’t it be great to spend Christmas near Lapland, with Santa and all that snow?!

So here are my nominees for the Christmas Tag

Erika

Judy

Willow

Shelley

And anyone else who would like to join in the Christmas spirit!!!!

I hope I can make it until Christmas. I will try, but if not I hope you don’t mind it. But know that I appreciate it very much that you thought of me. I was not raised to experience Christmas as a religious holiday, either. It has given the day and time a special meaning to my siblings and me.
