Christmas Leftovers #BoxingDay

image

Christmas Dinner in all its glory!

You wash, you peel, you cook
The turkey needs a look.
You baste and carve then eat,
A huge and filling feast!

So much leftover! What can you do?
That 14 person turkey decision you rue!
Boxing day dinner sorted, that’s fine.
A nice big pie and a glass of wine!

Yum! Stuffed again!

A throwback poem celebrating Christmas Dinner leftovers! Turkey pie anyone???

Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Boxing Day!

I like the delicious look of your food, Ritu. I make a layered dishwith turkey, cheese and broccoli. No breading or carbs so we can eat pies and cookies later. 💕🎉

Lovely poem, Ritu. I love turkey, but can only handle it for about 2 days. A few years back, I started freezing my own version of TV dinners. I use Chinese take-out plastic boxes. They are great re-heated meals a month later ! ☺️

Great Poem! I love it. I cooked a duck last night. Did you spot what would horrify my wife? No?…”A duck” Apparently as a duck is much smaller than a turkey I should have made three or four.
End result we have only a little bit of leftover duck and as she made the side dishes, there is enough left over to carry us through the winter. 🙂
