Something to ponder upon, thanks Spidey!

I wholeheartedly believe this quote!

Sure, bad things happen to the world.

Bad things happen to us all.

But how we deal with them is what creates a positive or negative influence over our lives.

We can choose to wallow in the awfullness of a situation, feeling sorry for ourselves.

Great!

But what does that achieve?

You end up colouring everything around you with that darkness.

Though if you search for the good that may have come out of the situation, the silver lining, so to speak, automatically, you will start to feel brighter about things.

Life doesn’t look so gloomy after all!

Optimism isn’t a bad thing at all.

Of course, no one want’s someone jumping around like an overenthusiastic puppy 24 hours a day, but if you can keep your positivity inside yourself, it helps view life in a different way. Not rose coloured glasses, but with the filter of hope instead, knowing that even though things aren’t necessarily going your way, they can only get better.

    I have lived with a pessimist before, and it sucks the joy out of life, I don’t want to be that person. There are people I look forward to meeting, I want to be a person that friends look forward to seeing too x

    I learned at a young age that what you put out into the universe is what you get back, negativity breeds negativity, positivity breeds positive energy, no doubt in my mind….Karma is real !!

    I always remember driving to work on a major highway and, when I eventually arrived, I would typically recount the idiot who did a “no-signal” lane change in front of me.. or the person seemingly trying to push me along from behind. I suddenly realised that I shared the road with probably close to 1000 other vehicles every trip, and yet I only acknowledged the 2 or 3 idiots. I should have acknowledged the other 900 + perfectly responsible drivers! The world really is whatever we believe it to be. I believe that most people are honest and caring. I am realistic enough to know that many are not, but why focus on the negatives when there are positive alternatives?

    I think it is a question of accepting there is something challenging in your life and that it is ok to feel ” scared, angry, anxious”, however, then let it go and concentrate on the silver lining that may come from it. I found it needs some training but you get there fast once you started.

    Good post Ritu and I like your quote too.
    When I woke up after my coma in the summer, I was not able to think much at all. But several things happened, as made me use my earlier so positive minding. Like my kids told me, that I would become a Grandma twice.
    I chose to stay positive, even my situation then was not sure at all.
    This helped and still helps me, when life throw new challenges in my way.
