Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 155

img_00411

“Be strong because things will get better. It may be stormy now, but it never rains forever.” – Anon

Something to think on, Spidey, thank you.

This quote really hit me as a truth.

Times in our lives come, where we think we can’t carry on.

Everything is against us.

It doesn’t matter what we do, it’s always wrong.

But the saying “We can weather the storm” reflects exactly that.

There is no storm on earth that goes on forever. There is always an end in sight, and if it’s worth it, ride it.

Hold on with both hands, and accept you may be slightly bruised and battered after, but you will come out the other side, and you will be stronger too.

Which situation did you think you’d never get through, but ultimately, has given you the strength to carry on?

Loved the wisdom of this post! Sometimes hard to do in the midst of the storm though! I think you might enjoy my post – “The Power of Belief”??

Thank you, My Dear for all of your wonderful visits/views in supporting my blog! So appreciated!

This is a good question. For me it was when I had to stop working in 2010. I was at a loss and struggling to accept an illness that baffled me. Over time I’ve found new ways to live and thrive.

I agree so much with this post. Had lost a battle of custody to my ex in 2010 despite my children saying they wanted to be with me and the pain I went through made me stronger. Thankfully I retrieved them in 2011

I’ve had quite a few situations where everything seemed so helpless and that I’d never come through the other side. Having good family and friends to support and encourage me is what helped me get through some really dark times x

Great post Ritu. When I’m down, I always tell myself that there is someone out there in worse situation than mine and that always keeps me going. In life you never give up. Even the devil himself is scared of stubborn people. Have a great time.

I wondered if divorce would break me. But it didn’t. I wondered if the job that crushed me would leave permanent scars, but they healed. I believe the tough stuff changes us, but does help us grow.

Great quote, Spidey, and exactly what I need to solidify the ground beneath my feet. This weekend really brought some challenges along… but before I wait until the time for the storm ends I will blow a little back towards its direction …. lol

Big hugs, Ritu. I do believe this to be true. We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for. Life can be extremely challenging but we have reserves we don’t know about. Trust in that and believe that this is doable.

Whatever you are going through, remember, ‘This too shall pass’.

My goodness you are wise this morning! πŸ‘πŸ» Love this. When my husband was diagnosed with cancer I didn’t think we would get through it. We had to sell our home and move across the country so that we could live with his parents. You are right, storms don’t last forever and you do emerge from them a changed person.

There have been many events in life that I didn’t think I would make it through. However, as mentioned, no storm on earth lasts forever. I survived and I am thriving!

Thank you for your post Ritu. A favorite quote of mine is from the 13th century Persian poet, Rumi, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.

Right now. We are having the roof replaced an have discovered that we have dry rot that has come from the neighbouring property. I’m not well, my youngest isn’t well, it all seems like too much right now.

However – before I start a full blown pity party, I know we will get through it if we plod on. You just get moments; y’know?

Anyhow – good to have your positivity πŸ™‚

Thanks Dorinda. I am so glad you are sharing these situations. There are people out there who feel so alone, and it’s by sharing our own experiences, that they realise they aren’t the only ones, and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel… ❀

Losing my mother-in-law. It was so sudden. The loss was overwhelming. It affected both of us, but intensely so for my wife. It affected our relationship. It was rough for a few years afterwards. But, we survived and grew. It was a transcendent moment, and we made it through it.
