Making The World A Smaller Place

I love looking at my WordPress stats map once in a while, trying to see where in the world people have been ‘smiling anyway’ along side me.

Screenshot (35)

It’s pretty impressive, I think! Not too many white spots left!

I love that, with the use of a few words, I have been able to reach people in all corners of the world, literally!

So, where in the world are you from, if you are reading this?

I am in the USA in the midwest. Michgian to be exact and even though I complain about the winters, I do enjoy all four seasons. I love to travel, though and I can’t wait to start traveling with my kids and showing them our amazing world. 🙂

I’ve never looked at mine – it won’t be as coloured as yours! You know I am not a million miles from your university, here in wet and windy S London/Surrey!! But it makes me smile looking at all the places our lovely BUYB family are writing from….I can pretend I’m in India with Arv, Germany with Cherie, Thailand with Carol or even Aus with Debbie…dreams of sunnier climes!!!

That is something I mention in comments all over Ritu. Bloggings unexpected outcome. Different countries, faiths, beliefs, colour… it doesn’t matter a jot if the people are good and solid. We all have idiots in our cultures, but that shouldn’t stereotype anyone. Except politicians….I do stereotype them into dangerous buffoons who lack the necessary skills to actually plan anything long term. #rant. I’m well proud of the global connections I’ve made. How many non-bloggers know we all get on fine here 😁

Nah, they just need putting on a remote island so they can argue without affecting anyone….politicians that is lol.

It is a fantastic place though here. Now how do we translate it into the general populations lol

Maybe each school needs to have a Blogging 101 subject… start them early! I know my school does something like that which a child-friendly blog station in some software we use at school!

Definitely! I’m toying with speaking to the sixth form English teachers about NaNo too. Some students might benefit from trying that, or one of the shorter Camps.

Great idea though to show the power of blogs and social interaction globally. Way better than Facebook IMO
