Colleen’s tanka challenge, as always includes the premise that only synonyms for the prompt words must be used…

This week, the words were;

Colour & Creepy

(Yup I used the English spelling for colour!)

Etheree #2 for me, and yes, I went a little macabre, thinking of death…

Ghosts Gespenter Spooky Horror Souls Creep

Gone
No more
Complexion
Takes on a hue
Saved for the lifeless
An eerie calm settles
No pain for you anymore
Yet for those of us left behind
The ones who’ll never see you again
The suffering has only just begun
