Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 204

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney

Thanks Spidey for this.

Did you know I am around 3 chapters away from finishing my big reread/edit/tweak?

I have been religiously trying to get chunks looked at each night, determinded to get this manuscript to a stage where I feel I want someone to look at it again.

My next decision is then to see whether I do go down the pursuing an agent route, or go indie and start with the professional edits…

I’m still thinking of investing in a critique no matter what I do…

But, somehow, this dream of mine will be fulfilled!

So… tell me, what steps you have taken to fulfill your dreams so far this year?

And remember, if you need a little motivation to help you achieve your goals, you can come and join my FaceBook Online accountability group, the Kick Ass Kreators!

I apologize, Sis! I lost contact yesterday! Great news! You are really very diligent.
Have you ever considered letting anyone of our acquaintances read you work? I’m sure Shalini (bookreviewsbyshalini.com), or Jane (janedougherty.wordpress.com), could also have a calming effect on you. 😉
I know that the right one is making recommendations here. 🙂 But I promise to write the review for Rituals asap. Best wishes, Michael

Whatever direction you choose to move your project forward, I think there is a lot of power in investing resources (money as well as time) in your work. Cheers 🙂

You’re doing wonderfully Sister! A spot on quote to refuel on. The biggest step I’ve taken so far is reenergizing myself for the long haul towards bringing my dreams to reality.

Thanks, Ritu, for this! Kick-Ass is giving me the nudge I needed to take this step in my path toward (hopeful) publication. Recently, I decided to work smarter by soliciting the help of a professional–someone who’s been around the authorial block several times. Don’t matter if you work hard, if you’re going about it all wrong–so I’m feeling less crazed and smarter now. A win-win. Good luck with your revision and I hope you find a wonderful critique partner to get your draft polished up!

Things have not gone to plan, I am ashamed to say, nothing done as yet! There is so much grief and stress in my real world right now. I am hiding in #jusjojan. Pathetic I know.
But we’ll done you Sis keep it up 💜💜

Get an agent. They’ll be honest. They have the contacts.

I hope you finish your project 🙂. I’m still learning how to be a musician and a writer. When I get older I wanna be a music artist.

Well done, Ritu. I have finished my major self editing too and my mom is now reading the book to give me feedback on the story and flow. I also need to decide how I am going to progress with this one.

It’s so hard to go that next step! I get that it is hard to be objective with your own story. But equally I don’t just want friends to read it. They may not give the constructive feedback I need, yet I really can’t afford the professional help just yet either!
