Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 212

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. if you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.” – Steve Jobs

Thank you for this quote Spidey.

I read this quote and though of a friend who has finally realised her dream, quit her job and taken the path of full time writer. I applaud her and her decision. She is finally doing what she wanted to.

And then I think of me.

I want to be a writer too.

But I want to be an educater.

And I am at a point where I am trying to live both dreams.

Positive things are happening in both. I can’t complain.

Maybe, just maybe, it is possible to live both dreams at once…

So… tell me, what is your dream?

Belly dancer! BWHAHAHA!!! I love it. Never give up your dreams, Sis. Educate for now… when you retire, write full time. YOU can have it all. ❤

I am finishing a career, and looking forward to having the time to choose between the various interests I have been neglecting. Time will tell…

    Good luck balancing both goals.

Well done to you and Sacha you both deserve your dreams to come true.
I would love to be a writer too but more than that I dream of peace harmony and a little fun. Not for the world though that would be great, no just a normal personal life would be awesome. 💜💜💜💜

What with the amount of writing you do, your teaching and your family, I think you’re amazing, Ritu! Hugs xx

Definitely a writer. If the love is not there, you might find yourself going through the motions. Thank you Sister 💜

That is exactly my dream too. Educate and write. I am doing the latter, sort of, but the former has to wait for a little bit more time.

That dual dream is called ‘teacher-author’. It’s a passion for so many educators who are also writers. You can do it!

Nobel prize winner would be rather nice, and I never did get to complete ‘block-toe ballet…’ but logically speaking, being a retired, ancient scribbler is not to be sniffed at! (Three sons grown and healthy, can arise late if the fancy takes me, and a romantic husband …) x

Love what you do and do what you love! If we follow that simple rule with our hearts, whatever we do will have the best possible quality.

You’re so lucky having two things you love to do! I enjoy my day job but hours are too long. I’d love to quit my job too and it is on my radar to do but not for another year or two. Having kids at university has set back our escape! One day …

I am like you, Ritu, I want it all. I love writing but I am not sure if I could do it full time. I am at my best when under balanced pressure. Of course, when I work 12-hour days like this week past and half of the weekend, I get a bit irritated.
