It was Lil Princess’s Year 6 Leavers Prom last night… and tomorrow is her last day at Primary school.
The end of an era for her, and for me as a parent at our school.
I can’t quite believe how fast time has flown.

it goes by faster than we ever imagined when we are walking the floor with them as they are teething. My oldest grandson turns seven this week, it seems impossible.

I can only confirm this, sis! And I am glad that I used every opportunity to cuddle them and kissed their little cheeks. Thank God, my daughter still loves to cuddle and my oldest son is also not embarrassed to hug his mom.

Absolutely, sis! In the early to mid teenager years they want to show how grown up they aleady are. But soon they are mature enough to undestand that hugging and being grown up is not an opposition. They learn how valuable it is to be part of a loving environment.

(Shock, horror…) I recall my middle son refusing to walk alongside me because I wore a beret at the time and was his MUM anyway, and boys of twelve didn’t admit to having such creatures…Now?
