Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday On A Thursday #Poetry Challenge No. 139 #Poet’sChoice

It’s Colleen’s Tanka Challenge! Of course, just providing a couple of words would be far too simple, so we have two words, yes, but we can’t use them! Only synonyms allowed! Except it’s the first challenge of the month so Colleen allows poets to choose their own two words to use in a syllabic poem.

Future & Hope Own choice!

I chose to write an Etheree using Write & Story as they are apt for my personal challenge this month, to edit my story to as perfect as I can! #RiNoEdMo

Create worlds
Use colourful
Imagination
To transport your reader
To a place they've never been
Just scribe a story so intense
The pages almost turn by themselves
Pulling readers deeper into your tale

A good story does have this effect. I am sure, your WIP has that potential 😉

As you said in the poem, transport your reader……flash! I´m transported to your words, and by the way the what you wrote earlier about hope&change is really up to you (paraphrasing here) couldn´t agree more. But now that I think of it, Obama used those two what seems simple words and stuck into people´s minds. Quite clever and people…… we are suckers. Anyways, not to get into politics but I did, nice reading of the poem as always.

You mean to say you have no hope for the future that you can write a story about.
