Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 273 – Waiting

img_00411

Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.

Joyce Meyer

Thank you, for that pearl of wisdom, Spidey.

Waiting. I think we are all in a permanent state of WAIT right now. We wait, with bated breath, to hear what the next steps will be by governments, with regards to this COVID-19 pandemic.

Our whole lives in the hands of a very tiny percent of the population. We sit tight, when the news is on, with the next announcement. How many new cases? How many deaths? Any positive news? Are things getting better or worse?

Currrently, my specific wait is to hear the definite decision regarding certain Primary School year groups returning to school on the 1st June, which is just over a week away.

I’ve had my fair share of wobbles, and I think you all know that. But, it’s my decision as to how I behave as I wait.

Despite my disagreement with the decision to even contemplate sending the little ones back to school, I am also aware that we have to, at some point, ease back into life as we knew it.

The #NewNormal cannot be our permanent normal, after all.

So, I’ve been in school, stripped back various areas, cordoned off places, given eacy child that I know is due to come back a special space, set of equipment, and a new socially distanced ‘spot’ to sit on when we have carpet time.

We’ve made plans as to how out timetable is going to change, drastically, teaching these ten children that we have possibly coming back, and the twenty whose parents are not willing to send back yet.

Now we are on our official mid term break. and I cannot do anything else, beside wait and worry. I am not going to worry, Decisions are out of my hands right now.

Instead, I am going to think positively. Put the fear out of my mind, as best as I can, and try and relax before the #NewNormal Take 2 launches.

What will be, will be. I have to stay as sensible as I can. It’s the only way.

So… tell me, what part of the next stage of lockdown easing are you waiting for, or dreading?

Have a peaceful Sunday Peeps  And enjoy your week! ❤

Loved your post Ritu!! I’m always careful not to pray for Patience! Every time I do
it seems I’m given way more chances to exhibit patience than normal. Almost like it’s praying for problems so you can use patience. Ha!
Be healthy and Safe, Dear Ritu!!

Well written, Sis! We are all in the same boat but others have the fuel. “Our whole lives in the hands of a very tiny percent of the population.” This is what we call democracy. Lol
And we are wearing something like muzzels, preventing us to bite the politicans. Lol
Wish you a beautiful evening, and take care maybe for yourself too.Without a teacher, a class is not a class. 😉 Michael

Have to wait it out and keep ourselves in a positive active frame of mind. At the end of the month, restaurants will be be able to have limited dine in customers and most salons can reopen. We’ll see how it goes…

Terrific post. Worrying about a hidden enemy that can come from anywhere – anyone. So unsettling, but we have to try and return to the “new normal” and awaits and hope that all we are doing is working…

I don’t know how schools are going to safely open, but there’s risk in everything, so we do the best we can. My grandson is home and therefore my daughter can’t work which creates a whole bunch of other challenges. What a crazy, difficult time for all. Stay safe, Ritu. I know you’ll do your best for everyone. ❤

I’m dreading a whole new set of outbreaks that will cause the Gov to overreact. We gotta hope for herd immunity cause people are not being careful.

I dare not write how I feel about waiting and fear I would probably be stoned to death as a profit of doom! Seriously Sis I really don’t see what or even if there is a right way forward… I just feel we are not on it.💜

No one is… Saying that, Australia are easing their lockdown within the country because they’ve had zero new cases, according to my Aussie cousin. Still not allowing anyone into the country, though. I think that’s the biggest issue!

Honestly can’t say how the social distancing will work in the wider domain. Everything else depends on that, but wanting the easing of restaurants so we can go eat at our favourite places 😋
