Good for you. I have been thinking about this too but I get conflicting advice. I must admit I find the newsletters I get have the same info as on the writer’s blog.

I think this is where you have to be careful. Curate a kind if content on your newsletter that gives someone a reason to sign up.
Sneak peeks is a bit one, readermagners and freebies, another.

Lots of authors say you need a mailing list, Ritu. I don’t have one and I don’t subscribe the these newsletters either. I stay up to date through blogging. I will be very interested to know what you think of this in a few months time.

Well, this is why I thought I would try it, Robbie. You know I’m active on the blog, and various social media sites, but I’ve been told time and again that a mailing list is key! I’ll definitely let you know! I am only setting up yet, so I think I need to give it a few months!
