Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 279 – Storm

img_00411

“Never lose hope. Storms make people stronger and never last forever.”

Roy T. Bennett

Thank you, Spidey, for another profound quote for me to ponder upon.

We’ve certainly, as a whole planet, weathered a huge storm this last few months.

I don’t think there are many people out there who haven’t been affected by the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.

If there is anyone, lucky you.

Most people have either known someone who has contacted this nasty virus, if they haven’t suffered themselves, or they know of someone who has been taken from this earth too early. Another victim of COVID-19.

If the virus hasn’t physically affected you, you still feel the effects. Be it your job. If you weren’t in essential jobs, suddenly you were at home. Either working from home, furloughed (if in the UK, at least) or you found yourself out of work.

Kids sitting at home, parents trying to be teachers.

Worry on your mind for members of family or friends who were sheilding, as vulnerable members of the community.

Who’d have thought that a time would come where you wouldn’t even be able to hug your own friends and family, if they didnt live in the same house as you?

Four months of a storm that is only just showing signs of calming a little. But it hasn’t disappeared yet.

There is still a chance the storm may pick up it’s severity again.

But we can’t live in fear either.

So, we carry on with life, as best we can, hoping that we don’t get caught in the storm… again…

So… tell me, are you hopeful?

Have a peaceful Sunday Peeps  And enjoy your week! ❤

Life happens and we need to be hopeful whatever happens. Losing hope is like throwing the rudder into the stream. We cannot control all that happens around us but we can control how we react to it. Or as the saying goes: you cannot change the wind but you can adjust the sail. It may be hard but sometimes life calls us to activate your potential!

I have lost a bit of hope due to the selfish and dangerous actions of people all across the US…we have dozens of states surging with the infection, and a President who says we have it solved and anyway, 99% of us will be fine…that means 3.5 million WON’T be, but he’s OK with that…sad. That said, I never give up hope.

I have been lucky that no one in my circle of friends and family has been afflicted with COVID 19 but the worry is incredible. Not being able to see my mom has been tough especially. But I agree, when the going gets tough, the tough get going! We will manage.

When nine friends since March have died, from isolation as much as COVID, it’s hard to be hopeful.
I did like the quote though.

Always hopeful. As hard as it may be, we have to adjust, adapt and change but never lose hope. This will pass completely someday.

Very deep thoughts, by Spidey and you too, Sis! Seems Spidey soon wil become honoured in one line with Aristoteles, Socrates and all the others. Yes, lets have hope. There is no other possibility. Its going on becoming better. Feel it, enjoy it, Sis! Have a great Sunday with yours. Dont forget the cat, and his social distancing to the feathered ones. Lol Michael

Am I hopeful? Let’s put it in to the words of our esteemed world leaders. “I may be hopeful, unless I am not but only if I can be hopeful. There may be hope but you must keep 2meters from it unless you can only do 1meter and then you must wear a mask, unless you have not got one . If you have no mask you must hold your breath… But if you’re in a crowd just be hopelessly stupid. ” I think that clarifies it 💜💜💜💜

Storms come and go, but if we equip ourselves for the outside, then like everything we will ride it through.
Just as day closes and night comes, night closes and day comes, nothing will stay constant. Good and rough times are lovers walking hand in hand.

I still feel like I’m living in a science fiction blockbuster, but I am hopeful. Careful, but hopeful 🙂
