Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 298 – Rejuvenation

“Perhaps the earth can teach us, as when everything seems dead and later proves to be alive.”

Pablo Neruda

Thank you for this one. Spidey. It resonates, this week, especially.

The last few months, I have been feeling a part of me shrivel away, as the momentum of the current situation around the world takes over everything.

Exhaustion set in. All I could do was wake, work, feed family, sleep.

And repeat.

There was no room for my creativity. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t magic words on a screen. Sure, I wrote my Spidey posts, and my catch ups for the Mondays, but that was it. No real creativity needed.

Countless times, I have opened up a blank post, thinking I would take part in one of the weekly challenges I enjoyed taking part in on the blog, but even with the most inspiring prompts, nothing came.

I deleted the posts.

I had started to learn lettering, and found it so therapeutic, but again, lack of time and energy zapped the will, or ability, to start any projects.

But this week, something began to emerge from within.

Like a shoot, finally ready to burst through the ground, or a bud beginning to open, my imagination began to fire up.

Ideas for different blog posts came to the forefront. I have thoughts about the book two WIP that want to be captured on screen. I actively wanted to take part in a fiction challenge.

And so, finally, on Friday, I wrote my first piece of flash fiction for around six months, and it felt good.

I’m still tired, don’t get me wrong. Seriously, this week, apart from one evening, I have fallen asleep for at least half an hour, and woken up, startled.

But I want to write.

And I will.

I feel my creative well has begun to fill, and though for many reasons, I am not tired, creatively, I am rejuvenated.

I hope you are ready for the posts that are sure to come, and the hope that the WIP will begin to take shape again, in the near future!

So… tell me, when was the last time you felt rejuvenated?

Have a peaceful Sunday Peeps.  And enjoy your week!

Dont worry, Sis! Its the best time for a little bit procrastination. 😉 I am doing so, since some days. Lol Horrible seeing the white paper in front of you, and you have forgotten brewing a cup of coffee, checking emails, looking for the weather, and so on. 😉 There will come better days! Enjoy the rest of the Sunday, and please stay save. You are a “front warrior in school”. We need you! Michael

We all go through a rough spell where it seems like the busyness or trials of life will not calm down but we also know that all things pass and that season of calm and rejuvenation will come.

I ate clam chowder for breakfast this morning. That sums up 2020. That said, my wife and I decided to put our holiday trees up this weekend…we have one in our living room and another in our back screening room….the back room holds all of the food-related ornaments my friends have bought me…I will be sharing all of those soon – point is: we need the Christmas spirit much sooner than usual this year, and it helped!

We cannot be everywhere at the same time and we cannot be focused in busy times on the necessary and at the same time relaxed and inspired just because we found 30 minutes in between. That is not working and that is what I experienced most of all this year since I put to much weight on my shoulders. However, it is a big learning effect to relax your mind and system when simply putting things at rest for a while without feeling guilty. We know that the time will come again but we are not cloned!

Thank you for this Ritu. I felt rejuvenated visiting Stratford upon Avon yesterday evening and seeing all the Christmas lights! When I take up my WIP novel again and start seriously working on it once more – that will be when I know I am truly rejuvenated. Promotion for my new book Paranormal Warwickshire has taken up all my attention in the last several months, and I am longing to get back to my novel again with fresh inspiration!
