#SoCS Dec. 24, 2022 – Cosy

Linda’s SoCS prompt.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “cosy.’” Use it any way you like. Have fun! (And Merry Christmas if I don’t come back before then!)!

I know the weather is awful right now in the States and Canada, and I wish you all well and hope all those who read this from there are staying safe.

We had the snow and low temperatures last week, but though low for here, it was nothing like what you guys are experiencing.

Right now, it’s Christmas Eve, and instead of snow, we have had a few torrential downpours, which I had to navigate to get the last of the Christmas Food shop!

I’d much rather have been sat at home, in bed with my book and a cup of tea, all tucked up and cosy, but hey, what’s a girl supposed to do when you have a gannet for a son, and there is no way you could buy anything too early, as he would probably eat it!

Still, enjoy your Christmas Eve, Peeps!

Artistic license used with the spelling for cosy, because, well, I am from Britain!

I remember growing up and hearing, “That was for the church bake sale!” (Or the party, or the poor woman whose husband died, or any number of things). Merry Christmas, Ritu, I hope the feast survives. Better put a guard on Santa’s cookies.

Know all about ‘male Gannets’ – we have three…Cooked up a storm on Fridays (especially cake) and it was all gone by Monday…until their partners took over. Quieter now they have fled the nest, but us two ol’ chickens are cosy enough when the chill winter wind blows – although, here in Spain, it is actually warm today and sunny! Happy festive days! xxx
