So I know it’s now the 3rd of January, and generally resolutions are meant to be kept on the 1st, but I have made a decision, I will stop hollering/screaming/shouting at the kids!
Firstly, it will save my throat!
Secondly, I have noticed how Lil Princess nowadays raises her voice rather a lot, and I guess children learn what they see, and I am so guilty of this!
There was a time when I was such a calm person, with the patience of a saint…then I had kids of my own!!!!
And yes, standing in the middle of the brother/sister war zone, sometimes the only way to be heard is to shout…. But no, I must control my urges!
So from today, I will try so hard to listen, and reason with the two monkeys in a cool, calm and collected way, before resorting to the banshee style that I tend to favour, unfortunately!
I will keep you posted with my endeavours to be quieter!
(So far today, I did really good, until I was trying to type my last post, and they were being little s***s, so slight volume control -or no volume control -was exercised…! Oops! Still. Baby steps, baby steps!)

One step at a time. My daughter in law writes her 11 year old twins notes and sticks them front of their faces instead of saying a thing and that ha been working well for her.

The amount of times hindsight kicks in eh!!! I know its something pretty much all us parents are guilty of though!
