A memory floated into my mind…
A couple of years back there was an article in the papers about how so many primary school aged children were oblivious to where the food they eat comes from. There was a sample list of questions and I was so proud my two answered each correctly…
Tomato ‘from a plant’, ✔
milk ‘from a cow’, ✔
apples ‘from a tree’ ✔
etc. etc.
On a roll, I asked Lil Princess a few more,
carrots -‘from the ground’ ✔yay!
Sausages- ‘from the barbeque’ 😐
Ermmm…….

Oh man when my youngest was 4 he learned hamburgers came from a cow and he cried for weeks and still does”t eat hamburgers at the age of 39.

Yup, I agree! It was so funny though, and she still remembers the conversation, so if I ask her, she will still answer the same way, hoping to get a laugh! 😁
