Well, you know what happened last week… thanks to my smartphone being a total waste of space, my alarm didn’t go off, resulting in a panic attack. And despite many attempts to reset it, I spent the majority of last week waking at 4 am, then fitfully sleeping, not sure whether my alarm would ring or whether it would leave me to panic again and be late for school!
So, as my post title says, I decided to go old skool! I went shopping on Saturday and bought myself a digital alarm clock, and plenty of batteries too.
Hopefully l won’t have the same issues now, and will be at least able to sleep until 6am, when my new (old) alarm should wake me!
And just in case that ends up not working, I even got an even older style folding alarm clock!
I may have around 3 alarms going off tomorrow, as it’s what they call Sod’s Law… now I am prepared, my phone will start to behave!!!!
Here’s to being able to wake up at the right time!!!!

Ritu, you might have to start acclimatizing your body clock to wake up at 6 am. For me, it is the muezzin call every morning at 4 :30 am, which sets the cat off, and he then does his thing, waking all of us up.

I was totally acclimatised… Would be awake just before my alarm at 6… But the job, teaching, has got me so tired, that recent,y I am in such deep sleeps… And that is how I ended up sleeping through my dodgy phone alarm! So now paranoia means I wake and sleep fitfully!
Having said that, my phone alarm rang today… And I don’t know if the clock one did…!
