Thank Goodness for the weekend!
So, it’s been a fraught, hectic week in Ritu-Land, with work, assessing children, getting ready for Christmas performances, and the like, then there is the home side duties too!
Throw in 3 nights of awful sleep because Lil Princess has been waking at ‘stupid’ o’clock.. (due to a bug which is now fully out and she is cuddled up on the sofa with a blanket), I am a pretty tired Ritu!
Already this morning, I have sent Lil Man to Football training, done the Grocery shopping, changed bedsheets, and now am sat down with a cup of tea finally! Still to come, lunch (which I should be making now) and then a visit to the In-Laws, picking up Lil Man’s friend on the way as he is coming over for a sleepover! The relaxation won’t start there.. they have a football match to get to by 9am so we need to do that drop pff, but also get them up and ready, and breakfasted too!
So, I needed a pick me up…
I don’t often share songs, but this particular one has become a bit of an earworm… I have it on a Christmas kids CD that we were playing at nursery, and my colleague loves it, so I listened more carefully, and now I can’t stop humming it or singing it… so this seasonal earworm, I had to share! I hope you enjoy it too!

Well, as it waa the first time I’d really heard it, I had to get the kids involved! Lil Princess gave a smile from her pukey sickbed, byr Lil Man… He sang along, as he’d already heard it before! Apparently his class teacher has been playing it the last week or so in class!!! 😂

Hang in there, Ritu, I can remember the frantic schedule we kept when the kids were young. I actually miss it…just a little bit. And you will too ! ☺ I love the expression “stupid o’clock”. Perfect.

Thanks sis… Just finishing eating my now cold lunch, as lil princess has been sick all over the sofa… Cue cleaning up, cancelling sleepovers, and now to deal with a moody pre-teen who is gutted his friend can’t stay over!

Oh no! It is the worst when they are sick! It is such a relief when the finally can make it to the toilet in time…. or into the bucket! Poor lil man, but in a family this things happen. But I know that problem… Hope lil princess is better soon!

Ok so yes, she is sick, but he is happy… His friend is still comi g! Hus mun couldn’t find anyone else to have him, and she has to be somewhere important tonight… She knows the risks, but asked if he could still come… So it’ll be busy in our house anyway! Hopefully no more bleurgh sick!!!
