The Prize!
It’s hard enough on the holidays when the kids constantly tell you they have nothing to do, they’re bored, arguing over silly things, telling tales, not allowing mummy to blog… you know what I mean!
Well, things in our Smiley Household have been much like this, especially the last couple of days as Hubby Dearest isn’t here either, so it’s me vs. the crazy kids!
They haven’t been as bad as they could, granted, but there is that constant little bickering, where Lil Princess wants everything, and if she doesn’t get it, I get the whiney “Muuuuuum!” noise, which I cant stand! Or there is Lil Man, who would be glued to his console/Ipad/the TV if given half a chance, or retaliating in a thoroughly boyish way to the annoying habits of his sister, resulting in pushing and shoving.. and I have to say, for a lil fellow, he has a lot of strength!
So today, we popped out to the shops and saw The Bribe Prize!!!!
This the latest phase said crazy kids are going through at the moment, collecting the Lego figures. And they aren’t cheap, at £2 a pop, so when I saw them on offer, I thought “Result!” (yes, arm action used and all!) I bought them, see the picture, and the kids saw me buy them… but there are stipulations… Play nicely together, be good, try not to be too loud, and please don’t tell tales, then maybe, just maybe, there will be a figure for each of them at the end of the day!
And, guess what? It’s working so far! Lil Man just came up to me to announce that he and his little sister have been playing Lego Star Wars really nicely together! Which appears to be true, as I have not heard anything from them, other than nice, playing together sounds! (If there was silence, I’d be more worried!)

Oh the “muuuuum!” not annoying at all! 😜 i hear you. Sometimes bribery works, other times I’ve resorted to throwing away their toys!

Neither when I was young… But they’re into their 13th series now! Its only now my two have really got into them! They live Lego in general, but this is just a step further!!!

Oh it is so hard. I have had that with my daughter since she was really young. I have tried all sorts, but she is getting better. Despite hating most fruit and veg she loves CABBAGE of all things! 🙂

I was child number 1… She’s a fantastic cook and tried everything, fancy purees (when they still told mums to mush up food for babies!) Jars, packet… I wasn’t having any of it… Apparently I liked ice cream, as every child does, and ….cucumbers!

Me to with Lil Man… And he was a terrible eater as a baby, but now he eats everything! You wouldn’t think so though from his slight frame!
Lil Princess, well I did the same and she was OK for a while, then things went downhill!!!!
