Well, it’s been a little while… I think all my wonderful Peeps have realised that Ritu has been spreading herself very thin… but today I got challenged, not once, but twice, for the 3 Quote 3 Day challenge, and none other than some of my Blogily, my siblings, an elder brother, Rich and my big sis, Judy. Typical annoying, but extremely lovely siblings, and what could I do? I had to take this challenge! So I shall do it once, but for them both…
Rules for Three-Day Quote Challenge
Thank the blogger, who nominated you.
Publish 3 quotes on 3 consecutive days in your blog. It can be your own, or from a book, movie or from anyone who inspires you.
Nominate 3 more bloggers to carry on this endeavour.
With my time constraints, I have decided that I will do the quotes, but I shall open this challenge to you all, my Peeps!, no particular nominations!
And so to the Challenge…
It’s all about teaching and learning this time…
This is something so fundamentally true, I can’t explain enough how important it is.
We, as teachers, need to show our pupils how to do things, so they are able to solve problems, deal with issues, live life fully, not make them learn things by rote, so when they are faced with a real life situation, they don’t know how to cope.
We also need to help them stretch their imaginations, and let children know that they do have their own minds, and they are allowed to have their own thoughts and opinions.
Being a teacher is not just all about ABC and 123 nowadays. We need to help them cement life skills. Unfortunately there are many parents out there nowadays, who, being so young themselves, don’t always have the wherewithal to teach their own kids the most basic skills and standards. I’m not saying we should undermine these parents, but we stand as examples for these children. They learn so much by example.
Whoever said “Those who can do, and those who can’t, teach” needs to be shot! All they could ‘do’ was chat total rubbish! I wonder whether they ever needed a teacher in their life ??!! Erm, I think so!!!
So on that note, I say good night, and if you would like, take this challenge!
Oh, and remember a teacher of yours, someone who changed your thinking, someone who was a positive influence on you!

What a bone chilling quote!!! Many times what is looked over in this day and age is teaching is not just for the teachers, anyone who has a youth in their lives should make a point to live by this. I’ve been on a quest for knowledge kick on my other blog, just yesterday I wrote something similar to this idea: https://stepparentsanctuary.wordpress.com/2015/09/14/a-lesson-from-the-crazy-cat-lady/

Love the quote, Ritu, and I have to share a comeback for the other one you mentioned about “Those who can…” I was having lunch with the chief hospital administrator shortly after I was hired in Human Resources. When he heard I had been a teacher, he hit me with that quote. I looked at him and said, “Those who can’t do, teach, but it goes further…Those who can’t teach, administrate.” He smiled at my manager nervously. Somehow, I kept my job. ❤️

That is a great quote! We all need to find our own way to learn a lesson but we need someone who helps us finding the path. Great! Good night, sis 🙂

I love the teaching quote. And as a teacher, I need to remind myself of this every day. Thanks for the reminder! Great post.
