A day doesn’t go by when someone doesn’t make me feel special, by way of a comment, or a hug, or a mention. Today is no different. In fact today was extra special! Today I got tagged with the #girllove tag by not one, but three wonderful bloggers who I love and respect.
First I was honoured to have been mentioned by Marjorie of Kyros Magica, and then by my wonderful blog sis Erika, and after that, the lovely Lisa , later in the evening! You know me, I am not one to actually participate in these things normally, as I find it hard to get the time to do them, but when something new comes up, I feel I should at least give it one good go!
Here’s what you do for the #GirlLoveChallenge:
- Tell your followers who inspire you, a famous woman who may be dealing with negativity on a daily basis.
- Tell your followers who inspire you in real life, a woman you always interact with.
- Tag five women bloggers who you love. Compliment them and tell them why you love them, and comment under their latest post with the link to your #GirlLove post!
So, here goes…
- A famous woman of inspiration, who may have to deal with negativity on a daily basis…
Inspirational women… there are many out there, both dead and alive. It’s hard to find just one, but I have to choose Princess Diana, Lady Di, Diana Spencer. I loved to read all about her, all the things she did, her charitable concerns, and her family life. She was a lady who, despite immense pressure, was there for her children, and for the people of her country, and fought for those around the world in difficulty, and she really made a difference. Despite being hounded daily, and when he was divorced from Prince Charles, being maligned by many, she still went on doing good, not caring what others thought, and helping to bring up two young sons, who have grown up to be a credit to her.
- My real life inspiration… comes as no surprise at all. My mother. She who gave birth to me, and made me who I am today. She who is there for me no matter what. She who has been through so much, and always come through everything with her head held high, her dignity in tact, and a smile on her face. Love you to pieces mum, I don’t know what I would do without you.
- And my 5 nominations… 5 is hard to do, there are so many amazing ‘girl’ bloggers out there, I couldn’t mention everyone… My dear blog sisters have been tagged already today, so I shall try and tag those I haven’t seen tagged so far…
- Kristin
- Trish
- Caitlin
- Adi
- Sandra
As I said, there are so many more I would love to tag, but for now, here are 5 amazing bloggers! Please check these wonderful girls out!
Thank you again to Marjorie and Erika, love to you both!

I completely agree about Princess Diana and your mum (even though I’ve never met either).
So this is why I invented The Really Hard Hat Awards then?
Congratulations Ritu. Your trophy cabinet must be pretty full by now?

Thank you Hugh!
Well I never met Princess Di either, though I did wave at her once, when she did a royal drive by past our schoo, I Solihull… I remember us all standing on the roadside waving flags!
And as for my mum, well. What can I say? She is just the best. I always say to,her, if I’m even half the mother she is, I’ll be brilliant!!!
There are a fair few trophies in my cabinet, and it is all love, isn’t it! I am so grateful for this recognition, and I do wonder… Am I really that deserving? But I’m thankful, nonetheless… This blogily of mine is awesome!

Well, I’d hate to be doing all the dusting of all those awards. It was bad enough getting the Hard Hats all shiny and clean for yesterday’s awards, but was a real pleasure dishing them out.
And Yes, you are deserving. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’m sure there are many more awards for you in the pipeline.
