Hugh always manages to think of great prompts for his photography challenge, and this week the topic was faces. Check out the prompt here.
Not any old face, but those faces that are not real. You know when you look at a static object, and can almost ‘see’ a figure, or features? Yes, that kind of face!
So here is my face… I read the prompt yesterday, and wondered where I may find or see a face, and my colleague had made our home corner into a castle last night… as I looked at one panel, it almost stared back at me! And with that wide open mouth, I wasn’t sure it it was showing surprise, or getting ready to eat one of the kids!
And you know I like to add a little poetic twist… that is just my thing! A haiku this time…
Faces
Unseeing eyes stare
Tongues lick lips that never taste…
Are you really there?
