I was just having a think, as you do, and whilst reading many of the blogs I follow I noticed there are comments regarding ‘working on my post’, scheduling of posts, and I didn’t manage my ‘post per day’ etc.
My thunking, yes thunking, was ‘Oh! Should I be doing at this planning??’
My blog style is pretty ‘fly by the seat of my pants’! Whatever hits me at that time, I will just write about, as soon as I can. There might be 2 posts, or 10 a day, depending on how my mind is working.
I do have a notes app in my phone where I collate ideas. So if I’m wandering around and inspiration hits, I quickly add it, to write at a later date.
If creativity hits, I write the poem then and there!
Obviously the fiction is more a work in progress.
I have no ‘system’ so to speak!
My one regular weekly thing is Spidey’s Serene Sunday’s, brought on by a silly figure of my Son’s, left in a strangely calming position one morning!
It’s funny, but in reality, I need to know what is happening every minute of the day, and I need dates and times for everything, but in the blogosphere, I am just so ‘chillaxed’!!
Yes, I will read over a wordy piece several times so it makes sense, and there are no glaringly obvious typos or grammatical errors. But in general, I don’t edit a piece to death. It’s pretty raw, honest, I guess… Like me!
I feel the passion at a specific time to write that particular piece, and it doesn’t come out right if I plan it too much!
What about you? Do you schedule? Do you have a system? Or are you like me? Flying by the seat of your pants?

I don’t plan. The only times I’ve written a post ahead of publishing time have been if i am doing NaBloPoMo in which case i used to try to have one or two extra posts ready in case i had an off day. But now I’m posting every day anyway so it doesn’t matter. Another time might be if you are planning on being away where you won’t or might not have internet access. Then you can write ahead and schedule the posts to publish on a specific day. I’ve never done that but some people do. I only post once a day as a courtesy to my readers who, I know, are busy reading lots of other blogs and writing their own.

I don’t schedule either. I am an emotional writer. I just write and publish. Or whatever it is. If I try to put too much thought into it, it ruins the process for me. I can see why people would do it, though. Depending on their blog. Me, we are free spirits. 😉 xx -CC

I enjoyed your blog post and I started out flying by the seat of my pants like you but the more I get into blogging the more I Change my routine. I recently discovered scheduling so I now schedule posts for days when I am working and can’t write a post. For the first time, I did more than one scheduled post. I did three post scheduled throughout the week. I felt like I accomplished something 🙂 Man, everyday I learn something new to do with my blog

Yep, I write about whatever hits me in the “feels”. I don’t take notes though, I probably should ’cause lots of time I have an idea for a post when I’m away from home and usually forget it by the time I get in front of my computer. No scheduling for me, at least not right now 🙂

I fly by the seat of my pants, I basically recap my day (take notes on my phone) unless some topic or issue has struck a chord with me. Dancing around my ex and lawyers make it tougher some day more than others, but I can write about my daughter until the cows come home 🙂

I have about 20 to 30 pictures in my “Blog File”. Waiting for a caption. I like the shot, but haven’t found the words yet. As the inspiration hits me, I’ll add it on and put it back in the file. CATB to me is like the daily cartoons you would get in the newspapers, so I post a morning addition and an an evening edition.
I find that by only doing two or three a day it gives them a chance to be seen by everyone.
Bloggers talk about, “views” and “followers” the numbers I look at is ‘visitors” and “likes”. If the number of “likes” is close to double that of “visitors” it means they are looking at both daily posts and they are getting equal viewing time.
But this is me. There are no rules to blogging. If there is one, it’s “do what works for you and makes you happy.”

I too am like you Rity, I fly by the seat of my pants. If I think of something I write it straight away, only I don’t have ever seem to have any inspirational ideas that I jot down (I wish I did though). I have half written tomorrow’s post already but that is because I am adding to it as I go. Other than that I just wing it! 🙂

I do schedule some stuff but only after I wrote it. No planning ahead… Just can’t do it. Need to write when it feels right.

I’m used to be a mixture of both. I write lots of notes when I get the idea. I have a plan blog at least three times a week, a quote if the day and two longer posts. And I know when most people read my blog and schedule it for release then. But my best post are always the unplanned ones that come to me and I post immediately. Those are by far my most successful posts. So fly by the seat covert over here. 😀😀

I’m a bit of a planner with personal blogging targets to meet, but I’m not the most prolific blogger so it’s more make sure I’ve got one post done a week (although I’ve upped that to at least two now) rather than a post a day. But often when I sit down to write the post it’s a make it up as I go along kind of thing. So I plan to fly be the seat of my pants 🙂

You’re doing just fine. You have an easy and honest style. I have 2 blogs and only do one post for each per week as they always require some research. I could say not to to do too many posts in one day but in your case it seems to work well.
All the best

I fly by the seat of my pants. I am full time care giver for my husband who has frontal lobe dementia so I am here at all hours and sometimes not at all for days depending on what is going on.
I enjoy reading your blog.
I post a lot of photos and enjoy photography as an outlet and hobby.
have a wonderful rest of the week.
