Last night Hubby Dearest went out to ‘wet the baby’s head’ with some of his friends. One of his mates has become a daddy for the third time, and in time honoured tradition, they had to go and celebrate, as the lads like to do! I explained this to the kids when they asked where daddy was going.
This morning, we drove past the pub and restaurant the ‘gathering’ was in and I mentioned to the kids, sitting in the back, that that was where Daddy had been last night.
Lil Princess pipes up…
LP: But no mummy, he wasn’t there!
Me: Yes he was!
LP: No, you said he was putting water on the baby’s head, that would have been at home!
Well, I guess normally we do bathe kids at home, and not in a pub!
But I Smile Anyway...
