Do you ever have those days where something, a phrase, or even a song gets stuck in your head…?
The kids love watching Cartoon Network nowadays, and there is one programme, The Regular Show, that they watch loads.
At the moment they are advertising a Regular Show weekend special constantly, and tag line, which is repeated again and again, is the main character does [something] ‘like a boss!’ .
It’s called the Like A Boss weekend I think!
Anyway, I saw this advert as I was leaving home this morning, and all the way to school it was going around my head…
“Driving my car, like a Boss!” ,
“I’m opening the gate, like a Boss!“, “Putting my bags away, like a Boss!“…
You get my drift… Annoying as heck, but it just trips off the tongue!
We got in my classroom and I said “Like a Boss!” much to the amusement of my colleagues! I explained the origin and carried on with my preparations.
Lil Princess was with me, so we went off to her classroom to drop off her things.
Me: Walking down the corridor, like a Boss!
LP : Mummy! Stop it!
Me: What? Why?
LP: You’re embarrassing me!!
Embarrassing my child, like a Boss!!!!!
My 7 year old was embarrassed by me!
Success!
My efforts as a mother are not going to vain!!!!!
Like A Boss!!!!

LP will likely adjust…it may just take another 20+ years or so…and they she can be “like a boss”. She will love it as she will have learned from the best!

ah ha, we love to embarrass them, like hugging and kissing and saying I love you! I was blessed that my son never really went through the “don’t embarrass me” phase, but then again, I was not really hard on him when I should have been.
I bet you are a fun mom “like a boss!” haha
