It was an emotional day today, as though I’m progressing in my job, I’m leaving a class of children who I have come to hold very dear to my heart, and the team of adults I work with here are amazing… I’ll miss them all very much!
It was sweet though… I was given a card made by two lovelies…
That represents Mrs Bhathal… Apparently. A big heart, a princess hat, and a star!! ❤

And Sonu Singh had a read too
!!
But coming back to my class… Remember my boyfriend? Well, I knew he was going to find this hard… His mum said to me the other, that he loved school because of Mrs Bhathal… So cute… Well, I looked over at him, as the announcement was made, and mouthed to him “Are you OK?” He nodded. I turned back to the class teacher, and seconds later, she looked over, and gasped “***! Are you OK?”
My little munchkin had scrunched him self into a little ball and was sobbing, hysterically. Well, my mother lab instincts kicked in… Forget boyfriend… (Oedipus, anyone?!) He was an upset little child… “But Mrs Bhathal’s my friend… I don’t want her to go!!!”
I had to give him a big hug, and go with him to mummy at the end of the day, to explain. She was happy for me, but had tears in her eyes too!
I won’t lie… I cried too!
Isn’t it amazing how you can touch the lives of these little people? I can only hope my influence has been positive!

Ritu,
Wishing you all the best in your onward journey. Are you going to continue working in the same school ? Then perhaps you could meet the little ones again.

Same school yes, but the nursery hours are slightly different, so less time to see them…😞 I’ll make time though!

Oh, I so understand you Ritu! It was always with a smiling and a teary eye for the kids (and even me), when they had to say good-bye to a teacher in elementary school. But that is the circle of life. The wonderful thing about it is: When we feel sad saying good-bye it has meant something!

This shows that you’re good at what you do.. Saying goodbye is always hard when you leave the ones you love. 😦

Grrr, as a very controlled person in the emotions department I need to register a complaint. This is the second time this week your posts have brought a lump to my throat!
Apart from this, good luck with your new job. X

Oh you must definitely have a positive influence on the children. They can get really close to some of their teachers especially when they have one who is as lovely as you are and who cares so much about them 🙂

I know, they idolize us to an extent, especially at that tender age… Its when they grow up, that they get cocky!!!

And to think you touch people out here on the net in ways that are profound with your natural way of talking about life! You will continue doing that young lady as that is what you know! :o)
