I was changing the bed-sheets in my kids rooms, and when I went to strip the bed, I lifted the pillow on my Lil Princess’s bunk and found…
A small handbag, full of plasters, and lost teeth certificates, a toy handgun (?!) and a small bag of worry dolls.
Erm, okaaaay…! Is this the usual thing to keep under your pillow at 7?!

Oh my. Kids are weird.
I think I’d talk to her about carrying worry dolls. Silly girl, the whole point is to lock them away and not to carry them!

I couldn’t even hazard a guess as to what goes through the head of a seven year old girl. But at least she’s compassionate, she may shoot someone but will always stick a plaster on it afterwards. Lol

You know kids. Maybe they’re just playing agents or spy(?) or something like that with the guns and the certificate is the “warrant of arrest” and the dolls are the suspect. Haha, I would be worried if it was a real gun though.

Sometimes when we see things in a group like that we may think it strange, but I am willing to be that each individual piece has its own story, just like all of us. They do say to put worry dolls under your pillow or bed at night, so she may be legitimately worried about something or someone just told her that it helps to ward off bad dreams. Maybe she realized it was a good hiding spot for the toy gun from her brother. Maybe she didn’t want you to know she had lip balm and was hiding it form you, because it was yours. LOL. I am only hypothesizing, but you get the idea. 😉 I wouldn’t worry too much. When in doubt ask, without judgment or shame.

She is definitely going to grow up into imaginative and creative kid. Ask her to contribute to your blog by telling the story behind the stuff under the pillow… I guess then we will know…lol. I am sure she is great after all she is your daughter😀
