Tuesday was prompt day from Matt The Book Blogger, and I was a little tied up to manage to post straight away last night, so here is my attempt this week!

This week the prompt song is Labyrinth’s Jealous.
I sat here listening to the words… really listening. What a song! I know it’s a sad one, but I loved it!

Happy…
Happier than you ever were with me.
Why couldn’t I give you that happiness?
Still, I can’t moan, I can’t hold it against you.
But I still feel it… jealousy.
There. I said it.
Jealous.
I never realised that all you wanted was that extra affection.
I regret all those times I shrugged your arm off my shoulders, or refused to hold your hand in public.
It was never that I was ashamed. I just felt trapped, almost.
Does that make sense?
And that trap, of my own making, lost you.
I miss you…

Great take on this song Ritu! The lyrics make me think of a combo of Alejandro Sanz’ “Quisiera Ser”, Take That’s “Back for Good” and Bruno Mars “When I was your man”
