Day 11 of #musicalmarch🎵
Throwback to the 90’s and my university years. I loved this tune by Aaliyah (RIP) and even went through the whole bandana phase… ! Back and Forth.
And there was a beautiful Bollywood film called Bombay released around this time, which had haunting music by AR Rehman. My best friend and I used to sit and sing this song lots together! Kehna Hi Kya.

I don’t understand the language of these, but the video makes the meaning perfectly clear. TY for helping me appreciate this music.

Not important. I knew enough about Indian customs to know the girl in white was NOT the bride. Was she a widow. Somewhere I read widows wore white. Most of my minuscule knowledge comes from novels.

I love the bandana. In my youth we wore them tied under the hair in back. I wore mine all the time in the late 70s and early 80s even after they were no longer “in style.”

😂😂😂 I wish lol! It was funny how many cheesy guys would pull the “are you Aaliyah?” Line… even though apart from the bandana we look nothing alike!!! 😂
