Well, who’da thunk it?
Me, in the blogisphere for FOUR years?!
And what a wonderful four years it has been!
They’ve seen me laugh and cry with you all, publish my own poetry book, finish my age-old WIP, win awards, including (in different years) first, second and third place for Best Overall Blogger at the Annual Bloggers Bash Awards, AND getting to meet so many of my favourite bloggers, and blogily at the Bash too!

This year, I have still been posting away, but getting more creative and more philosophical. I was chosen as one of the Fab Five in Charli Mill’s TUFFest Ride rodeo writing competition, and received an Honourable mention too!
I was even asked to be a speaker at the Bloggers Bash, about how to Blog alongside a busy life!
Blogging is such a huge part of my life now, I don’t know what I did with my spare time before, but one thing I know, I am so glad I started, otherwise I wouldn’t have met, in reality or virtually, any of you wonderful Peeps!
And… I’m only a couple of hundred short of 7000 WP followers… The mind boggles!!!
And so to the celebrations…

I know exactly what you mean. Life is busy and this term for you is hectic. My own time here dipped hugely during September and October. That’s when you realise how much you miss the community here. Never expected that when I started!!

Congratulations, Ritu! Blogging truly does become a all-consuming force in one’s life once the “bug” hits! I feel terrible if I miss a day posting my own, but I feel terrible, too, if I miss your post (among others) for any reason. I especially enjoy the posts like your anniversary post, where you posted the beautiful phootos of your wedding!
There have been a few deaths among bloggers I follow as well, and one doesn’t realize how close and concerned one becomes for others one knows only from their writing.

It’s a beautiful community we have built up that is much more like the world I’d love to live in where acceptance and peace is more prevalent than the crasiness that is the real world…
