The Entertainer Blog Award

I have been honoured with an award again… this time, it is The Entertainer Blog Award and my nominator is Sharon of Curious Queendom.

As I have already accepted this award, actually, I am proud to say I was among the first nominees when this award was started 8 odd months ago, I shall reblog, or link to Sharon’s award post. She has a list of great other blogs to read as well!

Thank you so much, Sharon, for thinking of me! I am humbled and honoured 🙂

And it’s the time for Kruti’s Prompts

Some new fascinating prompts, from Kruti here, in a new challenge… Take part if you can!

Kruti's avatarLet me tell you a story...

Coming to US, the most exciting thing that has happened to me is the meetup groups 🙂 I joined few groups (ofcourse all pertaining to writing and book clubs) and then i thought of starting one by myself and i did.

So the name of my group is CREATIVE CIRCLE – Book Clubs and Games, and till now almost 56 people have joined it. It’s so much fun meeting all of them and talking to them. My first meet up was at Starbucks and the agenda was to to introduce each other. That went well and second one was at a vintage cafe where i hosted a book exchange. everyone had to bring one book that they had finished reading and something in it inspired them and they had to pass that book to someone else int he group and in return they got a book from someone in the…

Daily Kind Quote

My dear sis Erika took something I said and made it into one of her quotes for the day. As I mentioned in her comments, it’s not strictly my quote, it’s a saying that has been around for aeons.
Today, maybe more than most it feels apt.
I am off soon on a long journey, to attend the funeral of my cousin who passed away last week.
Funerals are not lovely things to attend, by any means. They indicate the end. I don’t like to say goodbye… But then the silver lining part comes into play, as they can also be a celebration of someone’s life, if you let then be.
My cousin sister was a vibrant soul, always there to help everyone, with wacky health care and natural remedy solutions at hand all of the time, and a LOT of love to give to us all.
She lost her husband many years ago, and now she leaves 4 children, and grandchildren also. Although I know we shall miss her greatly, I feel happy knowing she will be reunited with her husband after all these years, and that she’ll be looking down on us, wishing the best for us at all times.
RIP Didi

‘Be the Light’ ~ The Starlight Blogger Award!

You know what I said about awards a few days back… with the new job pressures, it wont be possible for me to fulfil every nomination, but I will do my best to show my thanks in one way or another..
Well, yesterday, on my birthday, the lovely Sumana from the blog An Artsy Apetite nominated me for the Starlight Blogger Award. For this, I am extremely grateful, but I have accepted this award in the past, so I’d like to reblog the nomination post, in the hope you, my Peeps, will go visit her blog, and click follow too!

Life, Getting In The Way Again!

Well, It’s September, and 2 more holiday days until I go back to school, As the teacher, yes!  Dreading it, but quietly excited too, after all this will be my first full academic year as a teacher, with my own class!

But, with all this fun starting, and family life, there are things that may fall by the wayside, and I don’t want my blog to become one of those things!  So I shall have to be more organised.

I have taken a (painful) decision that unless it is new to me, I may not be able to participate in awards tags.  But as I have written before, here, I hate to ignore, or disregard anyone who has thought of me. So, new Ritu decision, I shall reblog any nominations, and if I am able to participate I will.  But If I can’t, then the reblog will still give my nominator a big thanks, and hopefully some new follows or likes!

Hopefully I shall be able to post daily too, but if I am not here posting, I will be reading.  Where I can I shall be scheduling… you know me, I can;t keep away, and I am sure the new academic year will bring plenty of blogger fodder!

(and the fact that I hit 40 in 2 days!!!!)

Until later Peeps! Have a wonderful day!
