Judging by the first photo, it looks about 1/2 kilometer long. I’m allergic to those ones!

Looks like a variety of the wolf spider. But I’m not an expert, and I’d rather kill it than try to find out what it is. lol

I don’t know what spiders you should be wary of there. You should really look it up, though. Good to know what you need to look for. Generally I don’t worry about any bugs in the garden. We seem to need them. Here, we worry about black widows a bit, but we worry a lot about brown recluses. Best of luck.

Looks a lot like a woodlouse spider. They eat potato bugs/rolly pollys/or woodlice (depending on what you call them where you live.) I wouldn’t kill it unless it tries to come inside.

You can Google spiders of your region and find the one that looks like it. A useful tool.

I think that unless it is one of those spiders that snuck in on a banana shipment, and usually die after being in the non-tropical weather too long, you should be okay.

The house ones are harmless, but yes they are bigger nowadays because of the milder weather… Its scary… I’ve never seen one like it!
