London’s Very Own Cinderella
What a night! But she wasn’t meant to stay out so late! The drinks had been flowing, the music was pumping, and though she had promised herself that she would be back home by midnight, the pull of the beats was far too strong…
She slumped onto the small ledge of a seat in the shelter and looked around. Waterloo station in the background, the dim light of the sun, starting to rise… She’d arrived in London in such style, as the sun set last night, and here she was, waiting for the night bus, watching a Waterloo Sunrise instead.

I think that this would make for a great opening to a longer story. You’ve got me hooked, and I want to know what happens next.

I felt kind of sorry for her. Showing up alone and now just sort of going home alone. Makes me wonder what she was really feeling between all those beats of the music…
