Tj’s Household Haiku Challenge.
There was a photo
And the word VIBRANT.
My take…
Colours so vibrant
A bouquet of memories
Each telling a taleRitu 2016
The fabric is actually from my mum. These are outfits that she was bought for her wedding, and each separate piece really does have a story behind it. She has kept some of these pieces aside for me, as memory pieces, things that I will have a sentimental attachment to.
She always starts the conversation with “I’m not being morbid but one day I won’t be here, so I want to get these things sorted out.” And there is a pile of these jewel-coloured outfits for me, and for my sister in law!
One thing’s for sure, I’ll never forget my mum.

Hi there Ritu! I was wondering if you would be interested in being part of a “Haiku Hub” I am thinking of setting up on my blog. If you would like to be included just let me know in a reply and I will add your blog to the Hub Page. I am hoping to get as many Haiku writers together to share their writing.

Not yet. I don’t want to make this a big thing for people so I will send out details once I have set it up. I am mainly hoping to set up a local area where fellow haiku fans can meet and share.

the material is beautiful…I think it would make a beautiful quilt to keep you warm with memories from your mum…my other thought to add to this is to use some of her material with some from your own collection of clothing and make a quilt for your young-ins…its what we do in our family…..then it becomes an heirloom…..just thoughts from a romantic….LOL

If I keep them with the care my own mother has, they should definitely last, for me to be able to show my own grandchildren, and give to my Lil Princess 💕
