It is awesome to look back 10 years and reflect where we were, where we are, and how far we have come. Amazing how much 10 years are in a life. Every time I look back I am amazed by how different my life has become, how much I achieved, how much changed (under or our of my control), and how many new things and activities have entered my life which I had never thought of before. Life is amazing! Cheers to development 🥂

Ten years ago I was celebrating my 25th year of teaching preschool. I had gone to a fabulous teacher conference where a famous author was the keynote speaker, which would trigger my being part of the next edition of his book. I met Millie the quilter, which would begin a decade of making quilts that hang in places of prominence. Grandchildren at last!

Ten years ago I had no idea losing my BIL in February would be the catalyst for visiting Bro in NZ in 2010.

I would not change the experience one iota. I feel sorry for my sister losing her husband so suddenly in 2010. A lot has happened since then, losing Mum and our health issues, but I appreciate everything so much more.

2009: was a husband and father of one, with a career I loved in sport.
2019: I’m a divorced father of two, with a new career in mental health, a blog, and two published books.
Fair to say I wouldn’t have been expecting to write that 10 years ago!

10 years I was struggling as I was adjusting to our move to a new city with 2 teens. Today I am thriving, pursuing my goals instead of standing on the sidelines. My husband and I are empty nesters and we are so proud of our “children” who are young adults now living their best life!!! It’s been a journey 🙏🏼. Happy New Year 🎉💃🏼

Lol, 10 years ago, I was teaching special needs children (teaching being a bucket list, long-desired goal in life), single, nervous, overweight, high blood pressure, and worried constantly, reading, but no writing outside of school work and college.
Today, stroke survivor, blessed person, new spirituality, medically stable blood pressure, no longer nervous, weight down, worry down, reading, writing – published author of 7 short stories, blogger with over 1k posts and loving life so very much – still single.
