So, I’ve done 1 and 2… and I must say a huge thank you to my nominator, as it is a privilege and honour to be thought of as inspiring, jut by even one person! so Thank you again! (That’s 3 times I’ve said it now lol!)

7 things about me.. this gets harder every time I get awards… what to find to tell you all that I might not have mentioned before..?

1) Being from a Sikh family that lived in Kenya, I was unaware that half of the Punjabi I spoke was actually a mishmash of Punjabi and Swahili! I found out at university when my fellow Punjabi speaking students looked at me like I was mad when I said certain things. Upon clarification from my dear mum, I realised I had in fact been speaking gobble di gook to them!

2) My Hubby Dearest is my toy boy! Well, you’re only as young as the man you feel, isn’t that what they say! 😉

3) I swam with dolphins in Jamaica, what an amazing experience!

4) My mum went to university with Mary Berry! (but a couple of years below her!)

5) At university, I was a finalist in the Miss Moonlighting Beauty contest! could have won a trip to a Caribbean Island as the prize, but I was too scared to go to the final! (We were at the venue where the contest was held by chance and I got picked!)

6) I caught chicken Pox on my 3rd birthday. What a great present!

7) I suffer from PCOS and my children are my two miracles. ❤

7 facts about me…

hmmm… what don’t you know about me already?

1) I have a fear of people touching my neck, as I was born with the cord wrapped round, 3 times!

2) I wanted to be a teacher ever since I was 7!

3) I’ve been with my Hubby Dearest for 18 years!

4) I love reading, any medium! Books, Magazines, Papers, Blog Posts, Cereal Packets! As long as there are words, I will read!

5) I once won an award for gymnastics, then promptly tripped up the stairs to the stage to accept it! Very graceful!

6) I went on an amazing trip to Russia with my school, and saw, in action, the first ever Macdonald’s that opened there in Moscow, and the mile long queue for that first Macdonald’s taste… needless to say, we didn’t join that queue!

7) I have the hugest supply of art stuff ever in my house… do I ever get a chance to use it??? Never!

Wowzer! another award! Thank you so much to my lovely friend Dee a.k.aThe Bantam Blogger for nominating me for this award! I’m chuffed to be honest, thank you hunny!

1.I can raise one eyebrow!
2. I can speak 5 languages. (not necessarily read or write them though!)

6. In my dad’s family, on the Padhaal side, I am the youngest girl… no other girl born in nearly 40 years! Recently my brother just lost that title for youngest boy…when he had his own son!
7. I ran (OK walked) the Race for Life with some friends and my kids, pushing a buggy around Hyde Park and we raised over £1000!

I have been nominated for the ‘one lovely blog award’ by the equally lovely https://abracadabrasite.wordpress.com/

So, here goes!

First of all, I’d like to say thank you to my ‘free speaking’ blog pal at https://abracadabrasite.wordpress.com/ for my first ever award nomination! Thank you so much!!! I feel honoured!

Now, 7 facts or things about myself…hmmm..

1) I was born by C-section, with the cord round my neck three times… hence I have a phobia to people touching my neck!

2) I love dancing. Western music of all genres, Bollywood, Bhangra, you name it, I’m likely to have danced around to it!

3) I sing, at weddings with my cousin and niece, give me a mic and I won’t let go!

4) I have 2 crazy kids, and a cat that take a whole lot of my time up, and give me plenty of fodder for my blog posts!

5) I went to the same all girls school from 3 all the way to 17!

6) I got to the final of the Miss Moonlighting beauty pagent when in my first year at uni!

7) It took me rather a lot of attempts to pass my driving test… I won’t say how many, but I managed to pass 2 weeks before getting married in the end!
