It wasn’t long ago that I had even heard of this award, and here I am accepting it for a second time!! Here is my first time round!

This time it has come from Blunderdad at the greatly funny blog, Single Family Asylum. (Go visit, click follow! You won’t regret it!!)

So, one and two done, now for the challenge…

For my challenge to the nominees, Describe in great detail how great I am . . . hahahaha, I couldn’t resist. But really, I challenge you to describe what interested you in, or inspired you to blog.

So, I have always loved to write, since I was a teeny weeny one, and that love has never left me, but it has lain by the wayside many a year, to be picked up once in a while, only to be left again, until I had more time… Last November a friend of mine started a blog, about her life, and feelings, and I wanted to comment on her first post…and there was that button tempting me to log in or Sign Up! And so I did… And it has been an amazing few months! My creative juices have started flowing again, I have found out that I have a way with words, when relating a humorous story, or relaying my point of opinion… And the support I have received on here has been immense. So now I blog, something I had never considered before, and I wonder where this blogging has been all my life!!!!

1) I love Chicken Kiev! Mmmmmmmm! Especially the Marks & Spencer ones! And yesterday I got the kids to have some and they loved it too! YAY!!!!

2) When younger I had a god-awful obsession with Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan,(fresh out of Neighbours!) Oh,a nd Bros and New Kids On The Block!

3) I absolutely loved the author Virginia Andrews and the Flowers of the Attic series…and all the rest… not as taken with the ghost writer team that write under her name now though, since she passed away…

4) I am totally up for having a laugh at my expense… (haven’t you seen all the dressing up posts!?)

5) I am a Sikh, and though not baptised, I have every respect for my religion, and the teaching of my Guru’s. I firmly believe that no matter what God you believe in (and there is only one, that we all believe in, just many guises, because, well, he is God!) How you look and what you do is all seen by that ever present entity, and karma will come back and bite you on the arse if you are naughty, but that if you are a good person, with good thoughts, and a kind heart, it might take time, but you will reap, as you sow. Like, yes, I cut my hair. As a Sikh, I shouldn’t, but God can see me, cant he? He knows I’m not harming anyone, right! I can still believe with shorter hair!

Crazy but true! I have been nominated for another award this week, this time by Edwina over at Edwina’s Episodes. This is an award for blogs that are inspiring, creative or funny. I hadn’t even heard of this one before, so wow! Thank you!

My challenge is to describe my dream destination….

Wow! That is actually quite a hard one! I would love to go somewhere hot, first and foremost! Where there is a pale golden, sandy beach, beautiful blue skies and crystal clear water. Drinks on tap, food arriving at a click of my fingers, brought to me by a waiter who is at my beck and call al the time! No one constantly calling “Mummy!”…. Peace for a short while at least…. Oh and of course, the other amazing quality of this dream destination would be that on arrival, the muffin top I have acquired will mystically disappear, and I will appear svelte and amazing, in my swim suit… oh and my hair wouldn’t frizz!!!!

But that is a dream indeed….!

I would love to go and explore Australia! I have family there, but we have never had a chance to go visit them. I would love dearly to tale 6 months or a year out, and visit them, but then actually travel around, and see the whole country!

Again, a massive WOW!

Another award!! I feel so humbled, and privileged that there are people, who are reading my blog and enjoying to the extent that they want to nominate me for something!

1) How are you doing today?

I’m doing mighty fine thank you! The sun is shining, the kids haven’t been arguing, I have been pretty much A-OK!!
2) Do you prefer to type, or write on pen and paper? Why?

I like both actually. Pen and paper when I am composing something poetic, as I like to see how the words flow, but typing, on the PC or Ipad for general posts or longer pieces, as it is easier!
3) What is your favourite quote? Why?

I’m not sure who said it but “Its better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!”
4) Cats or dogs?

Cats 101%!!!! If I said anything else Sonu Singh would be very upset!!

5) What is the first thing you grab at a buffet?

The best seat!!!
6) What is your favourite thing about blogging?

I can write what I like, and get feedback or encouragement on creative ideas, or give someone a giggle with a funny story or photo!
7) What are you an expert on?

Nothing! I am a Jill of all trades, a mistress of none! Cant you tell from my blog, a mish mash of all sorts!!!
8) What made you smile today?

My children, they always make me smile!
9) What is your dream vacation?

At this moment in time, any vacation would be my dream vacation!!! But I would love to be beside an amazing beach, able to relax, eat, drink, party, sleep, with no worries!
10) What is your ultimate goal in life?

It’s not a hard one, and I think I am very nearly there already, but it is to be happy. I want to be happy with what I have been blessed with in life, not wanting for more, Happy to be able to live as I am.
11) Can money buy happiness?

Nope, but it can sure help sometimes!! 😉
