Let me dream a little dream… Maybe I’ll wake up and it will come true. Let me dream a modern fairytale, set in a mansion, with a park size garden. swimming pool, and all. Inside, all the mod-cons, several rooms, amazing kitchen, bathrooms to die for, and staff, of course… I wouldn’t want to spend all the time cleaning it! A charming, handsome prince, pandering to my every whim, invitations to all the parties, a whirlwind of a social life…….
Let me wake up and see if it’s come true… Could it be? Could it? No, not yet… well the Prince part is true at least! Oh well, I can dream…….

And as I said in my previous post about accepting awards, whether I have had them before or not, I will try my hardest to accept them!

What is your favorite color? Why?

I love the rainbow… All colours… Because colour makes the world beautiful! One of the hardest questions to answer, I feel there is no single colour that gives me ultimate happiness, just this colourful world!
If you are given the chance to be someone else, who will it be and why?

I’m pretty happy being me, but you know what, I’d love to be a man, any man, for a day, to see whether it really is an easier life than being a woman!
Where is your preferred tourist destination here on earth?

I’d love to visit Australia… One day, so I can say I’ve been to the other side of the world!
Do you believe in fairy tales and happily ever after? Why?

I know they aren’t always happily ever after, but I do believe in fairy tales, I like to fill my life with positiveness!
Past, Present or Future?

Present, the past is a fond memory to look back on, the future is a present I am eager to unwrap, but the present, I make myself!
Who will you choose, the one you love or the one who loves you?

I am lucky as they are one and the same but there are several..my husband, and equally my children, family and cat… I could never choose between them, that would be my hardest decision….
What or who inspired you to do blogging?

I started blogging as a friend of mine started one and when I went to comment on her first post, WordPress asked me to sign up, so I did! It gave me an outlet for all these words I have bubbling inside me!
If you can relate your life to a book, what will it be? Why?

My life is so varied, there are many genres there, it wouldn’t be one book, it would be a collection… Either that or I’d have to write my own!
What is your favorite food?

I love the Indian street food snack Pani Puri!
Love or Money? Why?

Love every day! Love makes me happy, and in a happy world everything is rich, your thoughts, experiences, your views. With money you can buy material things, but what about the loneliness? You can achieve great things with love behind you, and maybe money will follow!

Friends or more than friends?

My friend became my more than friend and then got promoted to my Hubby!

So…why do I accept awards…?

… and more importantly, why do I appear to accept the same award on more than one occasion from different bloggers?

I know lots of bloggers won’t do it… many won’t accept them formally after a few, as it may seem like a tedious process, sometimes, answering questions, and then linking blogs, oh then notifying those you have nominated…

And initially, I thought the same… OMG! This is taking forever! I need the PC, can’t do this on my iPad or phone with any great ease!

But then I thought, actually…

A) It’s fun!

B) I learn a lot about other bloggers by reading their responses.

C) My readers get a closer insight into my world, with every set of questions I answer, or every set of facts I reveal

D) There is someone out there in the Blogosphere who enjoyed my blog enough to want to nominate me and I am THANKFUL!!!!

E) If nothing else, I can give a new blogger, or someone I admire, a bit of promotion! Hey, I’m not up there with the BIG GUYS with thousands of followers, but my 465(ish!) are great and they love to click on new blogs, and find amazing reads they hadn’t encountered before!

So, if anyone rolls their eyes at me, as I accept another award, think of those who I have nominated, and the fact that we were all there once, as newbies… and that first award nomination is priceless, and the encouragement that it shouts out to someone is huge!

I’m a bad Indian… I cant eat chilli!
I once cut my hair off at the scalp at the front to make my small forehead bigger… regretted it when the hair came sprouting back!!
I LOVE mangoes! Alphonso Mangoes, from Mumbai are n=my absolute FAVOURITE!!!!
I once ripped open an advertising board at a bus top and nicked the Southern Comfort Poster inside for my friend… it was bigger than me! (Naughty, I know… don’t know what came over me!!!)
I wanted to teach since I was 7, and the then head girl at our school, Jo Duck, came to do work experience with us… it was then that I realised teaching was something you could choose to do, and that was what I wanted ever since!

The Daydreamer Award – Vaishali wanted me to describe myself, tell others something about me that I haven’t managed to tell others yet, but have been meaning to…

Well, that’s a hard one, I think I am pretty much what it says on the box, if you know what I mean! I am a straight up British born Indian girl, with a mix of east west, that means I kinda get the best of both worlds! I am sweet and innocent, a good Indian girl, according to my family, and those who don’t really know me that well, then those who know me better know the Ritu that is a WHOLE lotta laughs, not so innocent, but still pretty sweet! I can recall the faces of so many people I have met over the years who are almost shocked to see I know so much about life, and am not some sheltered individual, but hey, I don’t mind, I am able to morph into the right kind of personality for the situation!
