Welcome to The Pumpkin Patch at Pickle Grove.
Andi is worried that her relationship with Drew has become dull and boring. They never do anything exciting these days, in or out of the bedroom. So when a swoon-worthy stranger appears, she is instantly swept off her feet.
When they unexpectedly meet again, they realise they have more in common than they thought possible so draw up a pact to spice up their lives! The plan they conjure up while working together at The Pumpkin Patch, to make their partners jealous, brings them closer than ever.
Andi plucks up the courage to finish with Drew but there are no signs of Andrew doing the same and she thinks she’s lost him forever.
With meddling exes, misunderstandings and miscommunication getting in the way, can The Pumpkin Pact bring them back together?
Another wonderful blog tour stop this time for Jo Lyons and her fabulous festive novel, A Billionaire for Christmas.
The Blurb
When talented chef Molly’s best friend and business partner, Ava, passes away, she leaves Molly their beloved restaurant – and a wild, impossible bucket list to complete. But thanks to a legal mix-up, Molly’s inheritance is at risk unless she ticks off every outrageous item before the Christmas Eve deadline: just twelve days away.
Determined to honour Ava’s wishes and desperate to save her dream, Molly searches for a billionaire willing to share Champagne with her in a hot tub – one of the more extravagant challenges on the bucket list. She’s in a luxurious ski resort in the French Alps so it might just be doable. But then she meets Levi. A devastatingly handsome billionaire, yes, but infuriatingly resistant to getting involved!
As the snow falls and sparks fly, Molly is entangled in a series of increasingly embarrassing escapades. With time running out, can she pull off the impossible – and maybe even find love along the way?
Hot enough to melt the Alpine snow, this romantic comedy is perfect for fans of Portia MacIntosh, Olivia Spring and Sophie Kinsella.
Molly is still grieving her best friend and business partner, though it has been nearly a year. She is reminded of a clause in the will affecting her inheritance of their restaurant, which includes fulfilling the rest of Ava’s Bucket List. There are some choice items on there, including costumes, nakedness, silliness and finding a billionaire! Luckily enough, Molly is working at a ski resort to top up her income while her inheritance is in probate, and it is the kind of resort where you are likely to find yourself a few billionaires! And meet one she does. She only goes and gets snowed in with him, along with his family, and misunderstandings and hilarity ensue. Along with the sexual tension that builds between two people who are attracted to one another, but who cannot show their actual feelings. I loved all the characters and their own brief stories that accompanied them. Reading about Molly’s attempts to get these bucket list capers ticked off in 12 days made me giggle! Thank you, Jo Lyons, for a great little read! Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC

Another wonderful blog tour stop this time for Helen Rolfe and her gorgeous festive novel, So this is Christmas.
The Blurb
Care assistant Sophie loves the holidays, and nothing makes her feel more festive than helping 82-year-old resident Bea keep in touch with her old friend Greta. In their Christmas letters, the women update each other on their lives – Bea’s in the quiet residential home in London, Greta’s in the heart of Vienna and the grand Wynter Hotel.
But everything changes when Bea passes away before Sophie’s had a chance to post this year’s letter. Devastated, Sophie struggles to imagine this Christmas without her dear friend. But then Sophie finds one last note from Bea – and this time, it’s not addressed to Greta. It’s to Sophie, telling her to go to Austria.
Which is how Sophie finds herself in Vienna at Christmas, with the snow falling, and an important delivery to make… But when Sophie reaches the Wynter Hotel, there are surprises in store, and before she returns to England, her life will have changed in ways she could never have imagined…
Oh, what a beautiful story with friendship at the core! The story starts many decades ago, with two friends, Greta and Bea. They both move from Vienna to England, and begin the habit of writing letters to one another regularly, including that Christmas ‘newsletter’ style update every year. Fast forward fifty-odd years later, and they are still writing to one another. Bea from her care home in England and Greta from Vienna, where she moved back with her husband, Walter. Both use the assistance of others to support their writing, as they are in their 80s and have failing eyesight, which makes technology difficult for them to comprehend. Of these helpers, Bea has Sophie, a care home assistant who has become more of a daughter than a helper. Together, they curate letters, and Sophie sends them on, and in Vienna, Walter does the same for his wife, with a bit of assistance from Jennie, a woman like an adopted daughter, and their son Nick. Unfortunate circumstances mean Sophie ends up taking a trip to Vienna to visit Greta on Bea’s behalf, and what she finds there is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. The art of letter-writing is dying, and I loved the fact that these letters were at the heart of everything within this book. Greta and Bea’s friendship lasted a lifetime, and their bond stretched further to encompass many souls who were floundering, bringing them back to safer shores. This is such a beautiful Christmas read.

She’s about to take him on a journey he never saw coming
After a couple of dreadful years, Elise Reid has finally found success working for a coach tour operator in Glasgow. But when she’s sent back to her hometown of Glenbriar to cover for a sick colleague, she finds herself stuck on a coach with her ex-fiancé… plus his new wife, his stroppy little sister, and his best friend – a man who’s always hated her.
Burnt out and searching for a break, eco-blogger and environmental activist Gabe Wilder decides a coach tour with his best friend would be a good way to unwind and reset. But when the tour guide shows up, Gabe can’t believe his bad luck. He and Elise have never got on, and after what she did to his best friend, he’s kept her at arm’s length, despite a simmering attraction he’s never confessed to anyone – even himself.
Unfortunately, neither Elise nor Gabe’s resistance to each other got the memo, and the more time they spend together, the more their chemistry sizzles. But between the watchful eyes of the group and the knowledge that this trip has an expiry date, giving in to temptation is a mistake waiting to happen. If they want a real chance at happiness, they must stop looking back, take a risk, and trust that sometimes, the best detours lead exactly where they’re meant to be.
I loved reading this by the poolside. There was somewhere to cool off when it got a bit steamy, lol! Elise Reid is the FMC. She is loving her life in Glasgow, but her company requires her to make a possibly temporary move back home to Glenbriar, where there are many poor memories and soured relationships with exes and friends. Gabe Wilder, the MMC and a semi-famous environmental podcaster, is the best friend of one of Elise’s exes. And he’s not her biggest fan. Upon Elise’s return home, she must serve as the tour guide for a group of people, including her ex, his wife, his sister, and her boyfriend, as well as Gabe, whom she knows dislikes her. You can feel the build-up of tension and chemistry between two people who know they shouldn’t feel anything for one another, yet can’t help their physical yearnings, which brings them to an agreement to quench their thirst for one another with a little holiday fling. But oh, my goodness, the chemistry between the two of them leaves us all wondering if they would ever manage to stop at a couple of bunk-ups! There is a side story involving Scarlett, Elise’s ex’s sister, and a troublesome boyfriend who causes her significant pain, adding more drama to the book. I sped through this in one day and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Margaret Amatt is a bestselling Scottish author, professional daydreamer, and certified chocolate addict. She’s been making up stories for as long as she can remember – some of them even made it onto paper (and, tragically, onto floppy disks that no computer can read anymore). After two decades of writing in secret, she finally unleashed her first novel on the world in 2021, kicking off a ten-book series set on the stunning Isle of Mull.
But why stop there? She’s also the creator of The Glenbriar Series, where romance, small-town drama, and a pinch of spice keep readers coming back for more. This series is still going strong, with more books planned!
Margaret has spent her whole life in Scotland’s breath-taking Highland Perthshire, despite her entire extended family coming from the Glasgow area. Her books are romantic and emotional, sweet and funny, and each one can be read as a standalone, but long-time readers know the joy of familiar faces popping up, adding to the chaos.
So, if you love relatable characters, sizzling chemistry, and plenty of banter, you’re in the right place – just don’t blame Margaret when you stay up way too late reading just one more chapter.
