So I have given my thanks, and now I want to let you know why I blog…

I love to write, and I have found a little niche here, where I seem to be able to supply some sunshine and smiles to some people.  Hey if I make one of you smile, or feel happy, or think about life in a more positive manner, then I have done my job!

I set out to be the writer I always imagined that I could be, and yes, I am writing, more than before. It’s not quite the novel that I hoped, or the children’s book I thought I would pen, but it’s me, and my writing, and thoughts, my reminiscences that are giving me inspiration to write, and hopefully you are enjoying them too!

Logo on here too, so that’s done, now to nominate!!!!

Thank you again to my nominator,The Hut Owner Blog! I am most appreciative of these awards! ❤

Facts leading to my blogging…

Well, I have mentioned this before, but I have always loved words, and writing, as well as reading.  I firmly believe that we all have a book or 3 within us, and I would love to one day have the time and commitment to actually finish a writing project. One day one of my friends started a blog, and I was desperate to comment on her first post, and there it was… that button saying ‘Sign up’!!!! SO I did, and I have to say, my writing life has changed considerably since then. I have reignited that flame for writing, and also for reading words, other than the books I would read, ie your posts! I really have enjoyed the last 6 months, and have made many amazing blog-pals through this experience, and I have also gained the knowledge that I can write to some extent, and that there are people out there who happily read what I write! Now that is an amazing feeling!

Another new question my nominator asked…

In your opinion, is blogging worth your time spent?

I think that I could spend much more time blogging, but life gets in the way! I used to allow it to consume me, to the extent I was waking early to blog, and read, and sleeping late too, but now I have reached a balance, where I can read what I can, happily, and communicate with my Blog Pals, as well as write when I am able to, too! So, yes, right now, I am happy with the time I spend blogging and wouldn’t change it!

And finally

Wish me luck…

… it’s a big day for me today… I still cant say much more, but I hope I can bring positive news to you this evening… but in the meantime, your wishes would mean a huge amount to me!

I need the luck of the Irish, luck in general, actually……

I’ll report back later!

Smile! 🙂

Book Review: Onside Out: Living With Demons A.A. May

I’m not one for reviews generally, I seem to have so much to write about on here that If I started that too, I would be on the computer forever!

However, I will always gladly support a friend, and fellow writer, and this book, Inside Out:Living With Demons by A.A.May is the true story of a friend of mine, a harrowing account of a very troubled childhood, and of her formative adult years. It’s part of a trilogy, the others haven’t been published yet.

Please, if you get a chance, click on here, and down load this heart wrenching recount of a very turbulent childhood. I was sat on the train this morning, reading it, and fought back tears, knowing her, and what she’d been through…

Beautifully Scary!

Somehow, I hit 601 followers on WordPress!

And nearly 20,000 views!

637 posts… When and how did I make the time!!?

Best day for views hit 418!
WOW!

Thank you to you all who do regularly follow my posts, liking, reading, and commenting!

I am humbled, thankful, surprised, and a little excited!!!

Who’da thunk it!? In 5 months I’d build this up, blogging would become one of my lifelines!!!!

And the Blog-Pals I’ve made along the way! You know who you are! We comment-converse, support, humour, it’s all there!!!

Thank you wonderful folks!!!!!!
