#SoCS & #JusJuJan Jan. 28, 2023 – Throw The Towel In

Linda’s SoCS and JusJoJan prompt…

Your prompt for #JusJoJan the 28th and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “throw in the towel.” Use the phrase “throw in the towel” somewhere in your post. Enjoy!

I’m late!

Well, ate in my own books. I know there is no time limit for these posts as long as they are on the right day.

But if you follow me, you know I am a stickler for scheduling these regular posts at 5am in the morning.

Fear not, my fellow #JusJoJan-ers! I did not decide to throw the towel in! (See what I did there!)

I was exhausted, and I had another personal issue to deal with last night, which meant that I couldn’t write or schedule this post earlier, but it ended up being quite handy since I could use the given phrase!

I’m pretty hardy like that. If I commit to something, it will take a huge thing to shake that promise I made to myself or someone else.

But, having said that, I don’t believe that if you can’t complete something, it doesn’t make you a quitter.

Sometimes we have to throw in the towel before we want because the goal may be unfeasible, or the situation we are in means we cannot complete what we started.

Oh, come on, Ritu, stop getting philosophical on a Saturday. That’s for Spidey and Sunday!

Amenitites- #JusJoJan the 27th, 2023

Welcome to the daily prompt! Today is your twenty-seventh prompt for Just Jot it, January 2023, brought to you by Kym. Thank you, Kym! Please visit Kym’s blog to read their post and say hello. And follow them while you’re there if you’re not already.

Your prompt for JusJoJan, January 27th 2023, is “amenities” Use the word “amenities” any way you’d like. Have fun writing!

When I go somewhere, I don’t always consider if we have all amenities we are used to available to us.

I am more of a whimsical person in that respect, and I am also someone who was brought up to make do if things weren’t what we expected.

However, Hubby Dearest is the opposite. If we book to go away, he will be the one who is checking out what is nearby, what is available where we are staying, and how many different amenities are at our disposal. (Whether we would use them or not!)

Thing is, I have one child like me and one like their dad… that can make booking things fun…

Family – #JusJoJan the 26h, 2023

Welcome to the daily prompt! Today is your twenty sixth prompt for Just Jot it, January 2023, brought to you by J-Dub. Thank you, J-Dub! Please visit J-Dub’s blog to read their post and say hello. And follow them while you’re there if you’re not already.

Your prompt for JusJoJan, January 26th 2023, is “family” Use the word “family” any way you’d like. Have fun writing!

If you’ve read this blog for any length, you’ll already know that family means the world to me.

The people who made me, the other one they made, the one I married, the one my sibling married, their families, the ones I made, the ones my brother made, my blood family, my extended family, my friend family, my work family, my blog family…

All such important facets of my life.

I have love and respect for each of them (sometimes in varying quantities…), but it’s there, nonetheless.

Family.

Without mine, I wouldn’t be sitting where I am.

Ideal – #JusJoJan the 24th, 2023

Welcome to the daily prompt! Today is your twenty fourth prompt for Just Jot it, January 2023, brought to you by Astrid. Thank you, Astrid! Please visit Astrid’s blog to read their post and say hello. And follow them while you’re there if you’re not already.

Your prompt for JusJoJan, January 24th 2023, is “ideal” Use the word “ideal” any way you’d like. Have fun writing!

In an ideal world, I’d live closer to my own family, be able to write quickly every day, eat whatever I fancy, work a couple of days a week in school because I do love my kids, and have a few more hours left over for the family and reading even more books!

That’s not asking much, is it?
