3 Quotes 3 Days – Day 2

Well, it’s been a little while… I think all my wonderful Peeps have realised that Ritu has been spreading herself very thin… but today I got challenged, not once, but twice, for the 3 Quote 3 Day challenge, and none other than some of my Blogily, my siblings, an elder brother, Rich and my big sis, Judy. Typical annoying, but extremely lovely siblings, and what could I do? I had to take this challenge! So I shall do it once, but for them both…

Rules for Three-Day Quote Challenge

Thank the blogger, who nominated you.
Publish 3 quotes on 3 consecutive days in your blog. It can be your own, or from a book, movie or from anyone who inspires you.
Nominate 3 more bloggers to carry on this endeavour.

With my time constraints, I have decided that I will do the quotes, but I shall open this challenge to you all, my Peeps!, no particular nominations!

And so to the Challenge…

All about teaching this time.

imagesContinuing on yesterday’s vein…

At the moment, I am in a position where I am essentially creating a foundation for the future learning of a group of 40 children. In our nursery there are a vast majority of children who have never been to another type if pre school or educational facility, so we are their first experience of ‘school’.

At the moment I am very much at the level of holding their hands.  Once they have trust and faith, I hope to open their minds to a wealth of learning, and possibly, I’ll touch their hearts.. they might remember me when they get older.

Whatever happens, I just hope I can be that stable base for them, along with my team, so these children are able to make the best of themselves in the future.

And as it’s a Wednesday morning, I wish you all well my lovely Peeps, and this challenge is open to you all!  Have a wonderfull day!

It’s all about teaching and learning this time…

imagesYX0L2NG5This is something so fundamentally true, I can’t explain enough how important it is.

We, as teachers, need to show our pupils how to do things, so they are able to solve problems,  deal with issues, live life fully, not make them learn things by rote, so when they are faced with a real life situation, they don’t know how to cope.

We also need to help them stretch their imaginations, and let children know that they do have their own minds, and they are allowed to have their own thoughts and opinions.

Being a teacher is not just all about ABC and 123 nowadays.  We need to help them cement life skills. Unfortunately there are many parents out there nowadays, who, being so young themselves, don’t always have the wherewithal to teach their own kids the most basic skills and standards. I’m not saying we should undermine these parents, but we stand as examples for these children. They learn so much by example.

Whoever said “Those who can do, and those who can’t, teach” needs to be shot! All they could ‘do’ was chat total rubbish!  I wonder whether they ever needed a teacher in their life ??!! Erm, I think so!!!

So on that note, I say good night, and if you would like, take this challenge!

Oh, and remember a teacher of yours, someone who changed your thinking, someone who was a positive influence on you!

This time it’s the Future Challenge!

So, the rules…

• Thank the bloggers who nominated you. Thank you!!

• Link back to the challenge creator Dreams and Movie screens,so she can track your progress.

• Share 5 things about your future (jobs, kids, marriage, travel etc). Then one day you can look back and find out how psychic you really are.

• Tag 5 bloggers and put them up to the challenge.

So, my future, I hope …

  1. To ensure my children have a secure, happy future.
  2. To maybe, one day, publish a book… Be it my Chick pea Curry lit, or Childrens fiction.
  3. To get a bigger house!
  4. To travel more, and experience cultures all over.
  5. To be a teacher that is remembered fondly, whose input in children’s lives, made a positive difference.

And who shall I ask to take this challenge….?

I LOVE this one!

Isn’t the truth?  We are all human, not perfect, and we are all guilty of mistakes, big or small. Surely, for some things, there should be a mistake eraser for those things you wish you hadn’t said or done, a rewind button to correct what you did wrong.

Well, there is, theoretically.  It’s called forgiveness.  If you made a mistake, and you hurt someone, unintentionally, forgiveness is a huge eraser.  As long as you learn from your mistakes, and don’t have them set on repeat!

And todays challenge goes to..
